It all looks quite kitsch, but either side are bric-a-brac shops selling all manner of tat. The cafe is sandwiched between them and fits in well. We bought some scones which were home-made and great value, and a toasted sandwich, which was not. It's a decent enough stop-off for tourists, but you suspect the locals wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

We were greeted by the owners beautiful dog, then the owners themselves. They were warm and genuine. This little place has it all: hot meals, sandwiches, cakes, pies, sausage rolls, snacks, drinks, tea, coffee... not to mention locally made crafts. We had breakfast and it was well priced, not fancy, more home-cooked, but definitely in a good way. There's a few tables inside but if the weather is suitable, go to the deck out the back and enjoy the views over the gully. There's toilets available for customers, and sufficient parking out front. The food is delicious and nutritious, the staff are lovely, and they also offer a fantastic catering service. If you're passing through and want a tasty lunch be sure to check it out- it is inside a hardware store but don't let that put you off- it just means you also have the option of dining out in their beautiful garden department.
