No other shop around here even comes close to the atmosphere, attention to detail, or finished product I got at Westcott Barbershop. Doug gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever received, and I'll be a customer, moving forward. Update: I've been going to see Doug for close to two years now. He immediately knew my hair to a T. Doug is intuitive and observant. My angles and preference are perfectly stored in his muscle memory. He needn't ask me how I like this or how I prefer that. We'll chat instead about pretty much anything. I swear he understands my hair's growth so well that everyday between visits is like a new haircut. He's that good, and my cut seems to grow in proportionately rather than "grow out." His cuts age like wine. It's magic. Westcott has the kind of vibe that can turn my week around in 45 minutes.

The cut I need is pretty simple--the work is in the beard and moustache for me. My cut turned out just fine. Beard and moustache trim worked out really well. Good price for the cut. Definitely will return. Barber was pretty silent during my cut, which is actually just fine by me (I imagine the small talk with clients is pretty excruciating after the first five million times).

For this being my first visit Adeline quickly assessed what she was working with, and then went right to it. She knew what to do with my thick, wavy hair. Adeline maneuvered her clippers with smooth, comfortable, authority, handling the sides of my undercut. She knew how to thin my top mop, going at the under layers so I wouldn't be a fluff ball. She explained her process throughout, and also had her own style that I was fine with, such as a natural line on my neck instead of a blunt one. In our conversation I gathered she has an eye for detail and I noticed that no stray hair escaped her. I walked away quite happy, feeling neat and trim with a good cut. It was my first time going to a barber and Adeline will have my business again. There is plenty of street parking around. Walk-ins are taken but you might need to be prepared to wait. Because of this you may have to park on the road along the side street or at the Kinney Drugs in the reserved area. I do highly recommend using their webpage to book any appointments for this location or Manlius as a walk-in appointment could be an hour wait. The stylists (barbers) Here do not rush through the cut just to turn the chairs over. They take their time and give each client their best. There is a billiard table and several t.v. to keep you occupied while you wait and there is always good conversations to get involved with.
