Service department, by legal definition, is fraudulent. Service writer there will look you in the eye while lying to you. Nothing about what was explained to us was true. I had a solenoid go out, rendering it unable to start. Was visiting Dickson so it was towed to Nick Meyer. They replaced the solenoid but reported three other issues found. Out of the three things we were told needed immediate attention to be safe (totaling $3,786), literally none of them were true. I took the vehicle to 4 mechanics in a nearby town and all of them verified that the Nick Meyer claimed issues were non-existent. Not to mention, I was told to pick up the vehicle at 1:00, and by 5:15 I was STILL waiting for it to be ready. I truly believe that the conduct displayed here is illegal. I hope someone looks into the business practices here and opens a fraud case. read more

BUYER BEWARE! I recently bought a used truck from this dealership for 6K. The next day it broke down. I had it towed to their service center. Told it was a fuel pump and they would replace it. I picked up the truck and drove it twice. From Dickson to Nashville. Ice storm hit middle TN. So I didn't drive the truck for roughly 8 days. After the road's cleared, I drove to work and the truck was misfiring like it wasn't getting fuel. I called the dealership and returned it to the service center on a tues. after being given the run around for a week. The following Monday, I was told they wouldn't be repairing it or refunding my money per the GM. The GM basically said that's what you get when you buy a truck for 6K, like that's not worth a decent vehicle? Do not do business with these people. They're not honest. read more

Service Department is NOT good (by my experience) and my service agents' lack of understanding is a problem in communication. The little space for service agents is cramped and NOT welcoming. Service agents do NOT inspire confidence. Total lack of demostrating professionalism. My service agent did NOT take ownership of his mistake (attempted coverup) and misleading attitude! The one common denominator I've ran into since moving to TN is lack of customer service skills. The Chevy dealership is no exception. I brought my truck in for an oil change and for days latter I have oil leaks on my new concrete. Apparently the 1 diesel tech they have can't even do his job correctly. A simple oil change turned into 3 hrs and I had 7am appt. So today I'm back again on a SCHEDULED APPT (715am) to have a recall part changed and to have the oil leaked corrected. They take my truck 'Chris' tells me it's gonna be a couple hours. Ok, so I have my wife pick me up from Waverly. We decide to run errands around town and 3 hours later I call back to see if my truck would be ready in the next hour, so I don't have to drive back to Waverly, 'Chris' answer and says yes about another hr. So I have my wife drop me off. 2 hours later My truck was still parked outside, not worked on and now I'm writing this BS review. They need better workers, better customer service and bottom line, get your shit together. I think I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Once again we had a wonderful experience with the GMC service center. I came in with my Yukon XL purchased elsewhere and a navigational disc purchased elsewhere as well and was having difficulty loading it. Dropped of my Cadillac SRX becsuse the engine light came on. They called and wanted $1300 to take the engine apart to diagnose not knowing what was wrong with it and not sure that would fix it. So I took it to James Corlew in Clarksville. They gave me a rental car at no cost. The next day they called and said it was ready. They said it was a exhaust solenoid the computer told them and it cost $270. James Corlew will always get my business from now on. It is fine now. read more

We came to get a door handle fixed on our suburban because the dealership promised us they had a car with a third row seat we could use while it was fixed. My wife showed up with three kids in car seats and they gave her a hatchback with no third row. They then proceeded to order the wrong door handle, which they never called an told us about until a week later. A repair that should have taken two days tops has now taken 10 and we still don't have our car back or a car with a third row seat. Terrible service multiplied by never ending excuses. This has been hands down the WORST experience I have ever had with a dealership and service center. I brought my car in to have the one and only oil leak repaired on my vehicle and it is still leaking oil, worse than when I originally brought it in. Upon taking my vehicle to the service center(In October, we're now in DECEMBER), I knew and was informed that the timing cover would need to be replaced. Patricia was the original service agent working with me who sent me a bill for $1,628.50 WITH ZERO EXPLANATION!! Of which had tacked on items that were not required for the repair! After speaking with Tony, the service manager, the bill was dropped, removing the items that were not required for the repair. Tony told me on the phone 'As a Chevrolet dealership we have to stand by our work'. Hmmm Ok.. So I grant permission to move forward completing the timing cover & gasket replacement, valve cover gasket replacement, and time to sert 3 holes. ($1,336.86 total) I informed Tony that the Valve cover was brand new, did not need to be replaced, I brought them coolant & oil to use & that an oil change would not be necessary. The repair is completed, I pick up my car, it's immediately leaking oil. I take my car back, knowing that the seal on the valve cover was not replaced correctly. Tony looks at it, tells me they will have to do a review & will contact me. My new service agent is Adnan. Adnan calls and tells me that this valve cover needs to be replaced, brand new valve cover needs to be replaced. I authorize for the replacement, after the repair, I go to pick up my car. When I walked into the building, I immediately felt gawked by every man in the building, it was extremely uncomfortable for me as a woman. They get my bill & it has labor included again for the work they have now done for the second time?? After several minutes & phone calls, it's finally removed as it should have been the first time. I get in my car, drive down the road less than 5 miles & the oil is so profuse in my car I can barely breathe. I have my car towed back to the dealership for now the THIRD time to repair the one oil leak I started with but now is WAY WORSE than when I originally brought it in. The oil is clearly leaking from the improper sealing of the valve cover. Adnan is my service agent again, sends me a text notifying me that he would be working with me except that was the very last time I was contacted by him or anyone else at the dealership. I am the owner of the car but they only contact my family during this third process without providing me with any updates. My car is sent back to the dealership on December 2nd and they finally contacted my family on December 6th with the resolution for the leak??? Now they say that the intake manifold & engine cooling housing is causing the oil leak & it will be another $700-$900 to repair because it would require 'deep engine work'???? When that clearly wasn't the issue to begin upon bringing my car to this service center each time! Tony, the service manager, throws out this amount without even a write up this time. So Tony, you mean to tell me that the repair for one oil leak is almost the entire cost of the engine itself??? WOW. I had a well known mechanic go to the dealership to look at my car & ask how do you know this is the issue & could not get a clear answer from anyone & when asked to speak with Tony, Tony just happened to be on lunch & couldn't speak to anyone. My car at that point hadn't even had the previous oil cleaned off. So it's become very apparent at this point that an expensive made up excuse as to why my car is leaking oil was created. On December 9th I coincidentally receive an email from Carfax letting me know what the trade in value for my car is....I have never used carfax. I feel like this dealership takes advantage of women and this is not the first time I have felt this way from this dealership. I advise that no one especially women buy from this dealership or use this service center because they cannot be trusted to have the customer put first, they are clearly organized to take advantage of people. My car has now been removed from this facility and I will never go back. Unfortunately, I will have to bare the cost and repair of whatever they messed up during the process of repeatedly having my car there over the last few months. I honestly can't believe Chevrolet would allow this treatment of their customers. read more

My wife took her car in to get service and have them check a noise which I told her might be the water pump going out. They confirmed it was, but for the 3 hrs. of service they charged her over $700.00 My nephew is a service writer for a large dealership in Indiana and he said the labor should have only been around $300.00-$350.00. Other sources confirm this amount, they've always been fair with us in the past. The service manager says he put 2 mechanics on it but I say I don't care if you put 10 on it you can't charge more. I guess if this is true your meals might be more because they put more cooks on it or your phone service might go up because they put more technicians on it. I called the manager but he failed to return my call. Repeat business is a huge part of the auto industry and we will not make the same mistake twice. I really wish I'd done a bit more research about this dealership before giving them my business. I purchased a GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle and THANK GOODNESS there was a warranty. The vehicle had supposedly gone through a 175-point inspection to become a GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle, but I firmly believe NO ONE at Alexander ever actually inspected this vehicle before I purchased it. For starters, driving away from the dealership just a few minutes after I purchased it, I noticed the front windshield was cracked (it was hidden by the "GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle" sticker the dealership put on the front window). The sticker was removed as my wife and I were paying for the car, so we didn't notice it until after we had purchased the car. Additionally, within the first three weeks of my ownership of the vehicle the following problems were discovered by either myself, my personal mechanic, and/or the dealership: two belt-separated tires, less than 25% of rear brake pads, two faulty non-operable hydraulic arms for the back door lift, a faulty non-operable steering gear unit (and still questionable intermediate steering shaft and power steering pump), a broken gear shifter knob, faulty/torn rear door window trim, faulty/torn rear door rubber molding, a broken rear seatbelt buckle, and overall major alignment, vibration and drivability issues/problems that still exist. I really feel that the dealership knew of most - if not all - of these issues prior to its sale, and simply hoped to get rid of the vehicle without having to deal with any of the above mentioned problems. How else can you explain selling a car with a faulty front steering gear unit???? I questioned the vibration and looseness of the steering on the test drive, and was told by both the sales manager Larry McDowell and general manager Allen Ledford that the dealership would be happy to address ALL of my concerns. However, after I purchased the vehicle, and when the dealership was presented with the obvious problems found - separated tires, steering gear unit, alignment issues - they at first TOTALLY REFUSED to do anything to satisfy my concerns. I had to contact GM Customer Service, and then escalate the issue MYSELF all the way to GM's Corporate offices in Detroit in order to force the dealership to address the problems found with the vehicle. In the end, my warranty and Alexander's ultimate responsibility for the vehicle was shifted to another GM dealership in Nashville, TN (Beaman Buick GMC, and they have been GREAT!!!). In my personal opinion, Alexander's general manager Allen Ledford SHOULD NOT be in charge of a car dealership. I consider him a crook, a liar, and someone I hope never to encounter in any situation again. I am totally disgusted my his lack of understanding and total refusal to accept responsibility for his part, and the part of his dealership, to both find and address the problems and issues my family has experienced with this vehicle ... all of which should have been found during the initial 175-point inspection that the vehicle supposedly endured to become a GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle. I specifically sought out a GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle because of the warranty and the assurances I would have under the program. Allen Ledford has singlehandedly destroyed my long-time trust and belief in the GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle program, and GM in general. Although, I will say that GM Customer Service, especially after contacting GM corporate headquarters in Detroit, has been rather outstanding. However, the time and effort on my part to remedy a situation that should have NEVER happened in the first place has been both trying and unforgettable. I've always loved GM and GM cars, having owned several throughout my life. I was excited at the prospect of buying a GM Certified Pre-owned Vehicle. Allen Ledford has done everything in his power to ruin that excitement, and GM is still trying hard to clean up his mess ... something I would think and HOPE GM will address with Alexander and Mr. Ledford so that my situation doesn't happen to anyone else again. It's an absolute shame people with Mr. Ledford's total lack of integrity and compassion are allowed to continue in their high-profile sales position. Mr. Ledford is better suited to clean toilets for a living, and is certainly not qualified to run a dealership as its General Manager - or any other position other than as a toilet cleaner.
