So we recently became minivan campers and just use regular extension cords to give us heat or…read morelight, this was our first KOA site and since we have used other ones, overall it was a great site that was well laid out The only downside it was obvious they were in the middle of expanding so there was some mud around due to construction Overall no it was not the most amazing KOA we were ever at, but it was a great place that was very convenient to the highway We would definitely stay here again

Got stuck here with family when the truck hauling out camper broke down due to the treacherous path…read moreto get to our site. If things couldn't be worse, it was 90 degrees with 100% humidity so we thought we could swim in the pool seeing as that is literally the only thing to do here. The staff decided to close the office and invite their entire hillbilly family and take over the pool area blasting country music. We even turned ours off the second they entered the area and made room for them. They were super rude and gave us dirty looks the entire time down at the office / pool area. It absolutely did not seem fair to pay $50 to park our camper here and not even get to enjoy the single amenity they had. I've been to some terrible campgrounds but this one was truly awful. Also, the highway is next to the campground and truckers use their Jake brake to Sloan down right by the site about every 5 minutes so don't expect peace and quiet.

First off, this is not a "family friendly" campground. There is nothing to keep children occupied…read morehere, so if you have children, bring stuff to keep them busy. The campground is on a literal mountain top, so it is surrounded by cliffs- great for a view but not suitable for adventurous children or animals. Driving in off the highway was complicated and you will hit many serpentine curves on steep hills. Of course that's nothing the campground can be faulted for, I'm just warning you in advance. They provide directions on the website to avoid low-hanging bridges etc. it's at least 16min from the nearest restaurant or grocery store so plan accordingly. Otherwise the space was a clean plot of land, which the owner clearly puts in effort to keep nice. There is nothing store except an honor system for ice and fire wood. Bring cash. If you have a pull through site, expect no shade/trees. The only sites with shade are around the edge. I had no experience with their toilet/shower situation but I hear you have to pay for it, which, after camping for 30+ years, I have never heard of. Overall, it's a nice plot of land but it was a distance from any civilization and it was not made for children to enjoy.

Beautiful campground literally on a mountain top! The park emailed detailed directions to make sure…read morewe didn't get stuck on a low-over pass route. It was pouring rain when we landed- the spots were all pretty level and really easy to navigate. The forties fog surrounding us in the morning was beautiful! The rainbow after the storm was a great bonus! Highly recommend

If I could give this place a zero I would! When you call…read morethey tell you it's beautiful and quiet with wooded scenery along the outskirts of the campground. Very quiet and relaxing they said. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUNNING A SCAM! -you have to share a water spout with your neighbor -trees over every spot -muddy unlevel spots -owners are strange and constantly harassing guests -they ask if you're a pipeliner and then tell you there's a $300 nonrefundable fee -they mow but don't weed eat anywhere -loud and noisy constantly -our friend pulled in here and the spot is so bad his rig is in such a bind he can't unhook his camper for fear of not getting it hooked back up. One side is up on two skids and still can't get it level.

Horrible woman, the owner is. She watches everything you do and if one little thing doesn't meet…read moreher standards she yells at you. When we first got there and asked about trash cans and when pick up was she told us to "take the old mans while he's gone but don't let him catch you because he's mean." I'm sorry you want us to take someone else's trash can??? I told her we would be fine buying one and she told us not to worry and to just take the mans. Are you kidding me? When we got there, she had us on a hill that was all mud. We asked her to bring us gravel and she told us no problem. We got in on a Monday. It rained ALL WEEK so we were wading through ankle deep mud to get to our trailer. We were polite and figured she was busy during the week so we didn't bother her about the gravel. Then rolled around Saturday. Then Sunday. At around 4pm on Sunday we figured she was too busy so we got the gravel and laid it out ourselves. Holy CRAP was that a mistake. She came up to us and started screaming about us stealing her gravel and when we said we figured she was too busy she turned red in the face and started screaming more about theft and how if we took anymore gravel she would kick us out. (Mind you we only took enough to make a path to our vehicles. Not even 1/4 of the whole mud pit was covered. We literally just made a path. Another situation (these are within two days) We have two vehicles and one of them parks on the asphalt that's next to the trailer. I guess she's bitter about the gravel situation so she came up and yelled at my boyfriend saying he wasn't allowed to park on the asphalt (where his father has been parking this whole time and there's another trailer with a car on the asphalt too). So please. For the love of GOD STAY AWAY FROM THIS DICTATOR WOMAN!! SHE DOES NOTHING ALL DAY BUT SNOOP AROUND AND FIND THINGS TO COMPLAIN TO YOU ABOUT!! AND IF YOU DO SOMETHING YOURSELF SHE SCREAMS AT YOU!!! DO NOT COME HERE!!
