As I was driving away, I looked over Whirlpool Drive to the gorge, and saw the ruins of the old suspension bridge. It made the heart ache: So much human drama happened there, and now it's incognito.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable, especially Doug who knew the answers to all of our questions! He let us know about the extended tour as well so we plan to come back so we can see the rest of the house and additional buildings. Mechanized T-Rex. 4. Mechanized Ankylosaurus. 5. Two large dinosaurs from the T-rex family. The animatronics is pretty good. The robots are large, with pretty fluid motion. The skin is very realistic looking. On the down side, it's not a very elaborate exhibit. It's only 5 rooms, with some waiting areas between the rooms. The exhibit lasts 45 minutes. The prices are steep. Adults are $45.99. Children 3-15 are $36.99. So, you don't get a good value for your hard-eaned money. There are rangers/actors throughout the exhibit. They help make the exhibition a little more lively. The exhibit is entertaining for all ages, but is probably better suited for young kids (about 4-10). What would improve the experience? 1. Reduce the prices. 2. Give the rangers/actors better speakers. It was very difficult to hear what they were saying. 3. Improve on the backdrops. They are large drapes which are somewhat uninspired. 4. Improve on the lighting/sound. You could create much more dramatic setting by putting on some loud speakers. 5. Improve on the giftshop. Drop the prices, and add more items.

It was lovely, gorgeous, and breathtaking. During winter the area is a ghost town making parking plentiful. We purchased tickets and were guided inside promptly. We were given a brief video history of Niagara Falls before we were herded to the elevators and brought down to the main attraction. In winter just watch your step and go bundled. It was definitely misty and plenty of ice on the floor. But enjoy and take tons of pictures. Would definitely come back!

Shoes, Socks, Legs, SOAKED. 2) We went towards the end of the season, the wood handrails and boarding are all SLIPPERY, walk slow. 3) Did I mention you will get SOAKED? Ok so, first time here, but I had read some reviews and we brought our own Ponchos which were far superior to what they hand out here with your entry ticket. I wore shorts, in the cold weather, because that is just what I do, so my pants did not get wet. I wore socks and shoes that were quick drying, so I only walked around in sloshy shoes for a small time, however you are probably best to just bring a change so that you don't have to walk around in wet shoes at all. It is difficult to image the power of this falls, as my wife said to me here 'I thought it would be bigger" Is that the first time she has said that to me? Maybe not. While the falls itself is not super tall, it is massively wide, and the power that is generated by the water coming over the falls is hard to express, without experiencing it from the decks here at the cave of the winds. Oh yeah, also there is no cave.

Overall, I like the Aquarium and it was well worth the $7.16 I paid to get in. I'd feel cheated if I paid the full $25 ticket price.
