I had to try this salmon dish at next stop vegan and it definitely did not disappoint. The sauce with the salmon is excellent and my first time having mofongo and it won't be my last.

Cesar's Philly Cheesesteak and Jamaican Stew

I checked out this spot a couple weeks ago and I'm mad I didn't visit them sooner! The restaurant is super green and you almost feel transported to an island jungle. The staff is super friendly and helped make eating here a great experience. The prices are affordable and I would pay for this food again. I got the Cesar's Philly Cheesesteak and I couldn't even tell that it was vegan. The flavor was rich but not too heavy. My friend got the Jamaican Stew and she loved it. We were both determined to be back again.

Dominican food turned vegan As someone who was vegan/ vegetarian for 7 years I'd say the food here was very flavorful and fresh. The service was attentive, even when the dinner rush started. I would def go back and recommend to others!

Next Stop Vegan is a Caribbean-Dominican Vegan Restaurant. It's not that big yet spacious & comfortable. The ambiance reminds me of being on a boardwalk by the water with lots of plants surrounding you. The staff is enthusiastic, friendly, attentive & accommodating. The manager happily brought over an embellished version of Sangria to try out. The drinks were good. I had a Ginger Lemonade. The plates were impeccable in their presentation. The plant-based Ropa Vieja, Beef & Salmon in the various entrees were so good & tasty, you might have trouble guessing if they were the real thing. The rice & beans were delicious & the portions were large, just like your grandmother would feed you at home! Now, the Alcapurrias appetizer (Grated green banana batter stuffed with meat, shaped & fried) were to die for! They were so delicious, I can still taste them. So, if you're in Brooklyn this is definitely a go-to for lunch or dinner, & take home some of those delicious Alcapurrias!

Wow really trying vegan food and this spot was a hit! I really enjoyed their Churrasco and their oyster salad was phenomenal. Definitely have to go with an open mindset for the food. It does get crowded so rsvp for a table and their juices/drinks are worth a try. Id aak for less sugar on my cocktails. Also great space with nice decor

Empanadas with cilantro sauce

Being vegetarian for over 10 years, it was such a treat to find a good vegan spot with such flavorful food suitable for me! I reminded my kid that the whole menu is animal free and was able to choose anything, she was so excited She got the 'chicken' fingers with fries. They were juicy and crispy. My non-vegetarian dad got the empanadas, he liked the plantain ones and loved the sauce. I got the ropa vieja and it was bomb! The texture wasn't like the meat version, but the flavor definitely was! The beans were very nicely seasoned and the plantains were excellent. The place itself was super cute decorated. The guys that worked there were all super sweet and helpful, answered any questions we had. As soon as we sat down, the manager came over and brought crayons and a coloring sheet for my little one. The attention to detail was definitely there. I will defensively be making the trip out for them again!

Stall at Atlantic Antic
Kneenoshhka G.

Actually tried this place when they were at Atlantic Antic - I will definitely go to their brick & mortar so I'll be reporting back on the ambiance etc al. The staff who manned the stall were pretty chill and took their time to explain the items they had available Traditional Dominican food BUT Vegan! I ordered the mini monfogitos: shredded plantain basket w/protein, pico de gallo, cilantro sauce, sour cream & chimi sauce

Enna J.

A bit pricey but overall a good experience. The service was excellent. The ambiance was dark and cozy. The food was a hit and miss. The miss being the plantain burger- although the flavor was there, it was extremely difficult and messy to eat because of the hard plantain.

Ropa Vieja
Danielle A.

Amazing food and service. Came here for dinner one night and was so happy I did. The waiter was so kind and gave me recommendations one what to get and it did not disappoint. The empanadas were super fresh. The Ropa Vieja was soo good. I coulnt eat it all right then so I got a to-go box but best believe, I ate it before the night was so over. The rice was even good. Like really good ! Definitely would return and recommend. Love the decor too.

Wow, I love this place. I used to go to their Washington Heights location! The growth is amazing to see especially in the vegan community! The ropa buena was so filling and so good! The Philly cheesesteak was so cheesy and flavorful. I also recommend the chimi & sancocho! I love the new decor and the service is amazing! Definitely check them out! I do miss the soursop juice I used to get here a few years back!

Chimichurri Sauce

This is the type of vegan place you go to when someone says "vegan food is boring" Every single dish we had was a 10/10, every bite was better that the last. The staff was super friendly and walked us through the entire menu and gave us good recommendation. The chipotle sauce is an absolute MUST! I don't know how they made it so flavorful but I've never had chipotle sauce (vegan or not) with as much flavor! This is one of the best vegan restaurants I've had in the city in a long time. Prices were responsible for the massive portions. Ambiance was great, gold decor and plenty of seating. I can't wait to go back and try more food!

Birria Tacos
Sophie H.

4.5 stars. We found this Latin food vegan place for my in-laws, that ended up being a hit with the non-vegans (my family of 4 lol). Quite a large selection to choose from! I ordered the chofan dominicana and it was delicious! The salad and avocado flower were refreshing. My husband ordered the churrasco mofongo. Slathering chimichurri sauce on the meat made it taste like a yummy steak! Husband tried it without the sauce at first and that was no bueno. The mofongo itself was a tad dry and could've benefited from some salt. My eldest ordered the birria tacos and she thought they were good. The consomé obviously didn't taste like the traditional beef consomé lol. More like a hot sauce. My in-laws got the cheesesteak and fries. It had a good but subtly sweet taste. Our servers were nice and accommodating, not overbearing. It was quite loud, but there was a large party of 10 celebrating a birthday and another table of 4. Seems like a good casual hang out spot but if there's 2 large parties (we had a table of 6), it may be hard to snag a table.

Loved the experience. My best friend and I came here for our adventure day in Brooklyn. She's vegan and I am open to trying when we are together and we've seen this place all over our social media. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't super busy. We got seated right away and our waiter was super helpful. We ordered the mofongitos and the birria tacos as well as the sangria. I loved the mofongitos, the flavors all blended in so well and it was tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of the birria tacos but my friend was and the sangria was yummy too but wish it was a bit stronger. The location was cozy, once it did fill up I did feel like we needed more space. We got to meet the owner who was so sweet! Thank you for a great experience!

The menu is stacked--sandwiches, hearty apps, macs, and cozy entrees that make you forget you're eating vegan. During my visit, they were running a Reuben sandwich special that seriously tempted me, but I went with the oyster mushroom calamari, and wow, the seasoning was spot on, and it could easily fool a seafood lover. My friend tried the seitan wings and was really impressed, even though he's usually not into mock meats. They came with super flavorful sauces and were definitely shareable. He also had the smash burger, which was a total win--savory, satisfying, and gave big diner vibes. We heard the milkshakes are amazing too, but we were too full to fit them in. Next time, for sure. Only downside? The service was on the slow side--we waited over 30 minutes between apps and mains. It's a popular spot, so some delay is understandable, but it was noticeable. Overall, I loved it and can't wait to go back with an emptier stomach and room for dessert.

I was skeptical at first, thinking, "This can't be all plant-based. What's going on here?" But boy, was I wrong! I ordered a few items, including nachos, trio empanadas, and vegan wontons. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors were so vibrant and the textures were so satisfying. I couldn't stop eating! Then, I ordered the oxtail with rice and beans, steak in a chimichurri sauce with rice and beans, and a hamburger with yuca fries. I also ordered two mac and cheese dishes and a side of tostones with a garlic sauce. To top it all off, we ordered a sour sop with vodka, a cream juice, and a red stripe beer. And let's not forget the tres leches and cheesecake with a passion fruit drizzle. I know I usually don't write long reviews, but this place had me hooked from the very first appetizer.
