My local church incurred high wind and hail damage last year and our church staff were looking for…read morea ligitamate roofer that wouldn't take them to them bank. We had many roofers come in with rediculous quotes and long lead times -many of them were either unsolicited and/or out of state. It was a very frustrating time for the church as a whole -due leaks that were becoming more and more evident. We had to move several events around to accomodate our busy schedule, which wasn't ideal or an easy task. On my way home, I drove by a sign in front of a business marketing Next Phase. They were currently replacing a roof on a facility so I stopped by to see if there was a foreman. A gentleman by the name of Michael climbed down a ladder to introduce himself. He was friendly, informative and genuine. I told him I was not the one to speak to, but I would appreciate a card and some information I could pass along to our church staff. After a few weeks, we decided to have Michael or his team come and visit to look at our situation. Within a few weeks of approval, Michael and his crew went to work. To make a long story, short -we are back in business doing the Lord's work. Michael and his Next Phase team did a wonderful job -and they worked flawlessly with our insurance company. What a blessing! We cannot thank Michael and Next Phase Roofing and Construction enough!

This is a go-getter.So, I recently had an inspection performed at my property and was informed that an area of the roof had been patched up with spray foam by a likely DIY'er. I was warned that, at some point in the near future, I might want to have it looked at by a professional roofing company and perhaps even professionally repaired if necessary. I considered what he said, and on Tuesday, January 10th, contacted several roofers, via Yelp, to determine what kind of damage I might be dealing with, if any, and the extent thereof. Several roofers came by. Three further discussed the matter with me. Only 2 suggested a water test to determine if it was even necessary to proceed any further or just a matter of closely monitoring the situation and proceeding if it should become necessary. One of the 2 quoted a charge of $450 to run the water test. But only 1, to my surprise, offered to do the water test at "no cost". Remember those words. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what direction most would go and I'm certainly no exception. On Friday, January 13, 2023, I met with Mark and his colleague at my property at 11:00am. Initially, I was only concerned about the area of the roof that the inspector previously informed me about. However, upon mentioning other ceiling areas inside the home that appeared to have had water damage in the past, but had since been patched up, Mark took it upon himself to inspect other areas of the roof (to include water testing), as well as inside the attic to determine if and where water may still be accessing the home therefrom. Mark and his colleague spent the better part of the afternoon inspecting the roof and attic, and again, at "no cost". Mark informed me that water was still entering the home through one area of the roof that lead to a previously patched up area in the home. It turned out that there was a leak around the B Vent flue pipe area due to poor caulking and an improper seal. I asked Mark what the cost of the repair would be. After all his due diligence, it seemed only natural to hire him to it see through to the end, right? But Mark's generosity didn't stop there. He offered to do the repair, once again at; you guessed it. "No cost"! That really says something about his determination and work ethic, and I was very much impressed. I actually thought I was getting "Punk'd" at first, for those that may be familiar with that once aired MTV practical joke reality television series. In exchange for this service, Mark simply asked that I leave him a Yelp review. No, I'm serious! Like "Punk'd", this was reality, as well. However, it was not a joke. Now, it may be that it would've been a minor cost and had taken minimal effort for that type of repair, particularly for someone of Mark's skillset. It's also no secret that word-of-mouth promotion is the most trusted of all forms of marketing - 86% of customers trust word-of-mouth reviews and recommendations. So, it's good business sense. But he still offered to take time out of his schedule to do it free of charge. And that's after having already spent the afternoon inspecting the roof and attic during his initial visit, free of charge. This, in my opinion, says a lot about his character. I was very much impressed. So, I agreed to leave Mark a Yelp review, and he scheduled to come back out on Monday, January 16, 2023, to make the repair. On Monday, January 16, 2023, at 9:00am, on a 55° morning, Mark came back out with his crew as promised, and within an hour, completed the repair. He explained to me that the gap between the pipe and the base flashing was too large for caulking to work, and that they used an extreme weather hvac tape to seal around the pipe and base flashing. Mark also showed me photos to illustrate his explanation of the work performed. He assured me that that stuff isn't coming off easy and that it would not allow the water to get under the base flashing as it did before. I suppose I'll have to wait until the next storm to find out, but kudos to Mark for addressing the issue before it became a problem, and again at "No Cost"! Just let that sink in. I've said it in the past, and I'll say it again.  I've seen my share of reliable contractors and those that I wouldn't even trust to change a light bulb. Mark, with Next Phase Roof + Construction, is one of the good ones. I'd spoken to him briefly following our initial meeting and he informed me that Next Phase had been in business for about 4 years. Well, with his kind of leadership and work ethic, I have a feeling they'll be around swallowing up the competition for years to come. I know just who to call should further roofing concerns arise and I would highly recommend Next Phase for your roofing needs.  Thanks Mark!
