I had to take my wife here for a minor procedure and it was a good experience. Parking was in a lot across the street and I was able to get it validated inside so there wasn't a charge. They also allow you to pull up and pick up someone but there's no standing so that has to be timed right. Everyone I dealt with inside was very nice and professional, from the nurses to the security staff. I don't live far and definitely one of the hospitals I would use in the future.

Worst hospital in NYC. Been waiting for a doctor now for 2 hours. Dad is in pain and no one has come to check on him.

Facility: everything is extremely clean, organized, and looks new. This is within the Queens Crossing building, one of the newest structures in downtown Flushing, so it was not surprising. Personnel: I must commend my physician, Doctor Sophia Lee: http://www.northshorelij.com/hospitals/find-a-doctor/sophia-yungwen-lee-md-11360533. She had a staff of people who were so professional. I was stabbed three times and shot twice. Two vaccines and one blood drawing. A few days afterwards, I was given a phone call to talk, in detail, about my blood work. And, perhaps most important, I was seen (relatively) on time! So rare for most Doctor's offices nowadays.

I also like that they are willing to share blood test results over the phone unlike some other clinics who make you go in and pay copay again to get the results. I had one negative experience with a covering doctor. She didnt really talk to me or get to know me and just prescribed medicine. But she has now gone to start her own practice elsewhere.

I immediately went to the hospital.. While observing my child's care, I witnessed two nursing staff initiate and handle my son's IV without wearing gloves and without performing hand hygiene. I was alarmed and had to verbally request that they wash their hands and put on gloves before continuing care. As a registered nurse, I am deeply concerned by this lapse in standard infection-control practices, particularly in an emergency department setting. Proper hand hygiene and glove use are fundamental to patient safety and preventing cross-contamination. Given that I have other children at home, this incident has caused significant concern regarding potential exposure and infection risk.

This is a review for a visit 2 yrs ago.. The ER is never…read moregoing to be highly rated because it's so chaotic but the ER Drs and nurses are great; you're going to wait a long time and you'll be seen depending on your issue.. My father went to the ER when protocols were different.. no visitors allowed in the ER.. The main hospital closed at 9pm, after visiting hours. Everyone had to leave. My brother stayed with my father at the ER for a long time since my father was not sick with a fever, but literally dying.. he had pneumonia, etc.. he needed blood transfusions, he had so many issues...Things you don't see simply from looking at people. So I know people who come to the ER get upset cuz they have a cold or something minor...but my father did pass away in the ICU a few weeks later and the hospital did everything they could so I wished my father simply had a fever...(There are obviously worst cases than a fever at the ER...which they categorize as a low priority at any hospital, so to give 1 star is simply ignorance.) Since it was during the winter at the time, there was an increase in Flu, RSV, Covid cases everywhere, not just at NYP Flushing, so there were no beds till 1.5 days later. Again understandable since we have a lot of family members who work at NYP. All the nurses and doctors did an amazing job. Everyone was extremely nice. I seriously did not expect this level of care especially with hospitals so short staffed. My father barely slept since he was coughing nonstop, but the nurses were monitoring him constantly. It literally was tests nonstop. We had no idea my father was in such bad shape since he kept things hidden from us but NYP has an app that allows family to check his lab results at any time. So I knew what was going on at all times and we spoke with all his Drs/PAs/nurses that cared for him either in person or on the phone. We were all there everyday daily from morning till night for over a week. Even the surgery team was amazing, they were so kind. They brought us all to see him. He was moved to the ICU. The amount of time and care that everyone spent, allowed us to have a lil more time with my father. So thank you so much.

On Sunday, December 21, 2025, he suffered a catastrophic gunshot wound with only a 10% chance of survival. His injuries were severe, including major vascular damage and bladder injuries. On the first day alone, he underwent approximately 11 hours of surgery and received close to 30 units of blood. Over the course of his stay, he underwent about eight surgeries, including multiple exploratory procedures, muscle debridement to his leg due to tissue loss, and a skin graft. At one point, his abdomen remained open for about a week to allow for immediate access as his condition required repeated trips to the operating room. The medical teams not only saved his life but also saved his leg by performing complex vascular bypasses to restore blood flow. We were told this type of work is rarely done. He spent one month in the SICU intubated, sedated, and on continuous dialysis due to kidney failure. There were many moments where we were told to take things hour by hour. Through it all, the doctors, nurses, and support staff were exceptional. The SICU urses stood out in a special way. They were highly skilled, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. They took care not just of him but of our entire family. I was able to stay with him every night, and our large family was always treated with patience and respect. Every detail mattered, from clinical care to room cleanliness to the way staff supported us during the hardest moments of our lives. After nearly two months, he was discharged to rehab and continues to recover today. Because of them, his children still have their father, and our family is still whole. We will never forget what they did for us.
