Those girls in the front desk suck. I've been waiting 2 months. For them to call me about a rental house that I applied and still I haven't received a single call from them. Then when I go in person they tell me ooh that house got rented a month ago I was like why haven't you fucken call me to apply for another place it's nots easy to find a place. If you want to deal with rude people who are unprofessional then by all means rent from Newton Property. The only person that is nice there and not rude is a lady named Martha, she is always pleasant to deal with. The owner on her mother how ever aren't at all. They don't check their rentals before they rent them out, Let's start there. They don't do "inspections" of their properties like they said they do in the contract. They were horrible to get any deposit back. Made us do hours of tedious work to tell us it wasn't good enough or at their standards time after time. They rent out houses that aren't clean and that have stuff from previous tenants that they left. They rented a house to us and when i got the keys and went to my new home the house wasn't in condition to be rented, that was Beyond stressful because I just signed a one-year lease with them for this home. When I called them they acted so shocked and I told them you need to write me another house. I had to choose from one home which I did a new contract for and it was more money than I wanted to spend a month but I had to move that day. If you're a home owner don't let them take over your property because they will let the tenants trash your property and then charge you an arm and leg to fix your property on top of keeping your deposit. Charged us a prorated day of rent because we dropped of they keys Oct. 1st instead of the last day of September. There was no communication and when you need something done if you don't speak with Martha it never gets done and so you have to keep calling. I was strongly disappointed with they way they run their business and i have never been treated to rudely by a property management company. read more

Never again, they moved groups of construction men in the apartments that we were living in... which wouldn't have been a problem but I am raising a family and cannot have groups of different men every other day hanging around outside, shirtless, being loud all times of the night... there was literally a different group every other month, which makes me wonder about sub leasing and back ground checks etc.... Someone even came to my door at 3 am after my husband left for work had them on my door camera and when they seen the camera they covered there face and walked away and guess what it was one of the workers. When I complained I was disregarded and treated like my concerns were not relevant. So the next month we put in a request to vacate cleaned the property and moved only to be sent a bill saying that we owed them rent for the month we moved out and they took our deposit. Remind you we were never late on our rent or anything . I would never rent from them again... just terrible read more

Vicki and Kortni have been extremely professional. They have been managing my properties for the last several years. They are very detail oriented and did a good job handling all of the maintenance needs. Their level of communication is better than any management company I have used before! if you want headaches this property management is for you. they lie about everything. vicki will lie to cover up the last lie. they rented my house to a man and his small daughter but then i find out his girlfriend is living there not on the contract. they went in after i turned the keys to them and tried to charge me with over of $500 in repairs i never asked for taking and throwing away my new back splashes in the kitchen. last sunday easter i found the tenant had put up a big bounce house on my lawn and property management knew nothing was susposed to be on my lawn and when i told them they said well its easter. also rent always late from this company. We have been dealing with newton for about two years. We use them to manage a home rental. It has been nothing but a headache dealing with this business. Vicky the owner is never available to speak to. We often get the 'will call you back" and never do get a call back. Customer service needs to improve, reception is nice over the phone but often never follow up with what they say they will do. We often receive our rental check late in the month and just this month we never received it at all leaving us to call and beg for our money. I believe a management service should ease the stress of managing a property and not make it more difficult for the property owner. Needless to say we have hired another company to help with our management needs. read more

My husband and I rented a beautiful home from this agency last year. As paramedics we worked long hours really value quiet time in a quiet neighborhood. We were never late on any payments & took good care of the home. We did the initial walk through which revealed many cracks in the floor, blinds that didnt work, etc. When we moved out we were charged for everything that was documented as not working before we moved in. We were told the only way to dispute this was to make an appointment with a specific person. We lived 2 hours away at the time & with our hectic work schedule this was close to impossible. How are you going to have a move in check list then turn around and charge for everything that was documented as broken!?! Totall bull#%&*. Also during the year the empty lot behind the home there were people revving their engines and racing back and forth literally right behind the yard late at night till about 2-3am. I have never spoken with a police department as much as I did for that house. Never rent with this company unless you want to be ripped off. read more

The receptionist Kathy is an extremely rude women who is not trained professionally at all. They must have hired her with only a high school degree because this woman has no manners and no professionalism. In my many years of renting I have never had a person disrespect me or give me attitude over a simple plumbing complaint. After thoroughly explaining what happened when their plumber Jason came to my home and made a huge mess in my bathroom, Kathy made it clear that it wasn't his problem or hers and she eventually asked me in a very annoyed tone (also she talks super slow, kind of like shes talking down to you) "well what would you want me to do?" after telling her I would like for someone to fix the plumbing issue she says "that is not my problem I'm hanging up now." Absolutely disgusting form of attending a customer. However, the real managers for the realty office are SUPER and i mean SUPER professional and nice. They clearly know how to interact with people. I hope they replace that receptionist. read more

I have rented a house from Newton Properties for 4 years i had no issues until 30 days ago.. The owner of the house wants to sell that's ok. They gave me a 60 day notice in which I then gave them a 30 day. I was told to pay a current amount of rent for the 14 day in September which I did, they have called me every other day wanting to know when I'm going to pay the remaining balance for the month or when I would be turning in my keys.. When I would call them back they blamed it on a new girl they are training, Obviously they don't communicate in their office. The Real estate agent even called me wanting to know when I would be out.. I been harassed for the last 30 days. Now just waiting to see if I even get some of my deposit back.. The house is cleaner than it was when I moved in.. But the way they run their business I probably won't get anything, just glad to be done with them never again.. read more

I would never recommend renting from Newton Property.If you choose to rent the house on Polson St in Clovis make sure you make note of the cracks in the ceiling and in the tile floor. The holes in the walls in the garage, also mention that the tree in the front yard has limbs that are breaking off. There are patched holes in the doors and walls... make sure Newton Properties doesn't try to charge you for them. Newton Properties was told about the tree, their yard man came out and said the tree is diseased and needs to be cut down, but nothing has been done about it, so don't park your cars near it. The same thing happened to me that happened to Hope M. I paid a big chunk of deposit money and when I got my refund, I was charged for misc. work that was left undone by the previous owner of the property!!!! Also a word of warning... if you plan on hanging any pictures... you better plan on patching and repainting the WHOLE wall otherwise they will charge you. They will also clean the carpet but after you move in the stains will show and then YOU get charged for them!!! Negative 5 stars!!! read more
