What a great community of lovely people! If you live anywhere in the area, and are thinking about finding a church, or just checking one out, pop on by to this one and give it a whirl! Its not a wealthy church, it doesn't have a lot of display, ornamentation, or lavishness (in fact, it's held in the Swift School auditorium.) -Yet, it still is very accommodating, warm, and inviting. It offers just about any accomidation for any disability, or special need, it provides child care (if needed,) and even hosts complimentary hot Metropolis coffee, and some free sweet breakfast bites to anyone walking through the door. And that's just it, you can come as you are. I mean in any kind of apparel , but also, you can be any kind of person, fall under any demographic, speak any particular language or way, even have any kind of view, and you are truely, absolutely, welcomed there. That's a great word to describe it. Welcoming... but not "over-evangelical" or pushy. Principled... without being too "preachy." Modest and Down-to-Earth... yet still knowing it's worth and importance here in this community. Candid and Frank... Honestly striving to establish the dialog about things the church may or may not want to talk about. Sincere and Ernest ... always striving to assess itself, and adjust if needed to keep upright, and true to its roots. Righteous with thoughtful virtue... without all of the righteousness. Again, just a collection of really good, warm people, with a wonderfully fresh approach to "churching," a logical and reasonable philosophy, and probably a thought-provoking message. read more
