Newks is nice, and usually a great option for quick eating and nice dining, and the Texarkana Newk's is probably one of the best I have been to. This one J went to while on a vacation, and on the trip, Olive Garden nearby was packed, so we went here. They had not many people, so I ate there. I got a good sandwich, and i don't know how they do it, but oh man those sandwiches are absolutely amazing. Newks is the best option for a lot of things, and I came at the right time as well, where not many people were there. The waiters were amazing as well. I appreciate them a lot, and you should go here too. I don't think their amazing service and food matches the small crowds. read more

Went there for the first time today. The restaurant is still fairly new but all the staff seemed to be knowledgeable and friendly. Me and my daughter both got salads, she got just a small house salad and I got the shrimp and avocado salad. Our order came out quick and was exactly what we ordered. The ingredients need both of our salads were fresh and delicious. I was eyeballing other customers orders who had order sandwiches and pizzas and they all looked very good as well. I will definitely return to try other things on their menu. read more

So we did a DoorDash for a family of 9. We knew we needed extra utensils and plates because we were in a hotel. We called the store before the dasher arrived and asked if they could add some plates, bowls and utensils to our order. The employee told us no problem and that she "had us". Nether the less our food arrived at the hotel without anything extra and only 4 sets of utensils. Thankfully the hotel had 4 plates they could give us but distributing the food was a beast. Missed expectations aside the bowl of soup seemed a little on the less side. Pizza was tasty but not fully cut. Salads were large and on point as usual. read more

While traveling, this restaurant was handy. I ordered on Newk's website online for quick pickup. Somehow while ordering GrubHub hijacked the order! How is that allowed? I was very happy with the selection and taste, but wonder if the salad was pre-made? It seemed to have settled/compacted in the plastic container. Still it tasted good and fresh. The sandwich was super fresh, and tasted exceptional! Employees were helpful and cordial. They too were frustrated by "delivery services" but assured me they were working to smooth out the process. I hope Newk's is successful. Would love if they'd come to Appleton, WI! They'd have an immediate customer if so! read more

CURBSIDE PICKUP was used. Our office decided to use/try Newk's, Texarkana, for in-office lunch. The option for GROUP ORDERS via online was absolutely wonderful for the admin that handles this 'perk'. Each employee was allowed to select their own entree, sides, drinks, etc. The only negative with online was there was an option to check 'customized ingredients' but no field to enter said ingredients. Easy to fix with a phone call, but just a small hassle. The only complaint heard was the portion sizes of each entree wasn't even close to 1/2 the size of selection if we had eaten at the restaurant instead of pickup. We probably won't use Newk's takeout / curbside again. read more

I wish we had this place in our hometown! It's so yummy!! Excellent Greek salad! Very fresh and the chicken is so tasty!! Chicken salad sandwich is very flavorful, with toasted cheese and bread and hearty chicken salad. Pasta salad has lots of crunchy veggies in it. And they have the best strawberry cake and iced tea!! We stopped for a quick bite to eat while we were traveling. Easy access off the highway. Lots of great food choices--I had the roast beef sandwich which was served on perfect French bread (just the right combo of soft/chewy/crispy) and my husband had the club sandwich which he said is one of the best he's had. Loved the condiment bar and that you had Coke Zero on your fountain! We found out there is a Newk's in Atlanta so we will definitely visit next time we are there!! read more

Unsafe COVID-19 practice and unhelpful staff seemingly with lack of training.. Forced customers to retrieve pickup orders from inside the restaurant by the kitchen, where some staff was observed to have left face mask off and groups of customers weren't socially distanced entering in to place and pay for their orders. Having realized this situation, we explicitly asked if we could retrieve our prepaid pickup order from the drive through window which Newk's does have, as we felt uncomfortable going in and waiting with an "unprotected" crowd. We got a rude "no" for an answer. When we finally got our order and were ready to enjoy the couple salads we bought, we realized the veggies weren't fresh.. Some of the lettuce had even turned red and were apparently still being served! Very unpleasant first experience with Newk's and definitely won't be returning. read more

Terrible customer service after staff screws up your order. Only option was to drive back across town. Won't be back. This is the equivalent of stealing. Wonderful place to stop along Interstate 30! Delicious food, conscientious staff, large portions, and very clean and modern bathrooms. Coming from the Midwest, the format was similar to Panera's, but with a more interesting menu and larger portions. They had an open kitchen, which was a nice touch. Food came quickly and hot. During these Covid times, it was important that all staff wore masks, there was a small outdoor patio, and a young woman was working very hard to bus and sanitize the tables. We stopped for the safety features but will definitely keep coming back for the quality of the food! read more

I ordered cheese pizzas for my children and the server brought Margarita pizzas, which my children would not eat, the manager went out of his way to help, he ordered two plain cheese pizzas and gave us a gift card which he did not have to do. I've tried Newk's in various locations. By far the best location is in Shreveport. I lived in Frisco/Plano, TX for 15 years and visited the locations there, and was very disappointed. I gave it another try and still disappointment. I just recently moved back to Texarkana to take care of ailing parents and decided I'd try the one here. I ordered the Pimento cheese sandwich. I ordered online and picked up at the window. My food wasn't ready when they said it would be, it took a while for someone to recognize that I was at the window, along with multiple other cars behind me, when I got home to eat, the sandwich either soaked up all the cheese or they put a very small amount on the bread. It was literally non existent, I know it was there because the bread had the flavor of pimento cheese. My daughter got the pizza and was satisfied, she doesn't like pizza sauce that much, but she said it was very bland, which was good for her. Im sorry Newk's, but I wont be back, unless I go to Shreveport. read more
