Even if you were not going to buy any bamboo, a field trip here is worth the drive. In our case, we were looking for some ornamental bamboo that would look beautiful as well as grow in a narrow space. this farm, which is 25 acres, has only "clump" bamboo, which means it does not spread out, contrary to what most think. We were given a tour, by Alex Fell, who was so pleasant, funny, knowledgeable and above all, someone who loves what they do. Alex helped us select the perfect bamboo for our specific application and we knew from the first few seconds that we were in expert hands. Had a great learning experience at this establishment.The grounds huge and amazing. Alex is a walking encyclopedia on bamboo.Took his time to explain all I needed to know on my purchase.Steered me away from bamboo that would not work on my property .We followed him in our car while he was in his ATV.Social distancing was followed along with Alex and I wearing a mask. We can't say enough good things about New Shoots Bamboo!!! We have a multi level townhome in Stuart and needed help with a tall privacy barrier between our home and a parking lot. After looking for bamboo at local nurseries and being unimpressed, I found New Shoots on DuckDuckGo. I decided to take the hour drive down there and upon arrival, I was so glad I did! The expansive property was full of lush, healthy bamboo in numerous varieties. I was greeted by the manager, Alex and received a tour from a very knowledgeable Janet. I couldn't leave with just one bamboo so I bought two. Even if you're not looking for bamboo..,you really need to see this place. Amazing!!!! read more

New Shoots bamboo has the nicest bamboo I have seen. The personnel know the bamboo and what a client needs for their home or commercial property. I recommend New Shoots. The manager Alex took great time showing the bamboo and discussing the growth factor of fast growth versus slow growth, height, hedges, and bamboo that will only grow 14 feet versus 40'. I have been to many nurseries and New Shoots is in 1st place. read more
