    89 Grill chicken vermicelli

Food: Flavor and portion on the top notch side! I'm surprised that not too many people visit this place yet. The grill chicken vermicelli has very nice seasoning and I'm very full till dinner time! Service: super polite and helpful! Ambiance: casual and clean.

This place is eh.. no wonder why it's empty and the outside light is always flickering?! People don't bother coming. I came a few days ago with my family and our experience was just ok. I ordered a pork chop with rice and it looks like I got red bbq beef lol! Their pho soup bowls are packed with meat and noodles but the broth taste has too much clover & cinnamon taste to it. The fried egg rolls are just ok; the stuffing literally taste like won ton meat. The spring rolls tasted plain and the peanut butter sauce was way too thick and clumpy. Their Thai iced tea and fried rice did taste good and I'd definitely suggest these! As we were all eating, they were cleaning and using that Fabulooso floor soap which has stinky and string fumes. It felt like we're eating inside a bathroom which was not pleasant. This place did not meet our expectations therefore we won't be coming again.

Egg roll that comes with bun - 5/5 - what a show stealing! So delicious, hot and fresh! Yum! Bun - 3.5/5 - portion is great, fish sauce is balanced, pork was a little too...artificial? Not sure if that's the right word, but it just tasted a little weird and the veggies didn't seem as fresh as I would have liked. Portion is generous though. Pho - 4/5 - generous portion again and broth was good

An interesting experience! I enjoyed the rice plate I had, the grilled pork was tasty though I wish there was more lemongrass flavor. The egg roll filling was quite bland but I loved that they used a rice paper wrapper. The spring rolls were pretty solid and the peanut sauce was delectable. My parents both ordered pho (unfortunately didn't get a picture) and they both couldn't stop commenting about how much they didn't like it. They said the noodles were too undercooked and the broth was too salty and lacked the typical pho flavor that you get from the spices. The service was also pretty unfriendly. Our server didn't really speak to us at all and kept glaring in our direction while we ate, which made for a pretty awkward dining experience/environment. Overall, I'd probably order from here again, but only for take-out if I don't feel like driving to SJ for Com Tam Thien Huong.

Large parking lot with tons of parking. First impressions when walked in was a scent of old musty smell. Like a thrift store scent. We were greeted and seated when ordering a lot on the menu was not available. Not sure if I'll return due to not having several items on the menu. Broth of the soup was flavorful. Chicken was a little dry but the noodles was good.

When arriving at this restaurant there is a ton of parking around the building. When you enter the restaurant they will ask you how many people are in your party. They have booths and regular tables for your choice. Their menu is extensive and there are a bunch of options. We always come here for the pho but next time I come I want to try their beef stew. The pho is very flavorful especially with the lemon and Thai basil they give you. They also give you jalapeños and bean sprouts. The spring roll is also good the only thing is that the rice paper on the spring roll is sometimes harder then expected. I love the peanut sauce though. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is fast, tastes delicious, and you don't have to wait.

Stopped by to lunch with my friend to catch up over some much needed girl time. When we arrived, there were no other diners. This restaurant resumed indoor dining service two days ago, so they're just getting back into the swing of things. I will note that there were plenty of customers walking in and out for pick-up during our time in the dining room. I ordered Bun Rieu which essentially tomato and crab paste soup over vermicelli noodles, and my girl ordered the Bun Thit Nuong which is grilled pork and fresh vegetables over vermicelli noodles (no soup). And, for an appetizer -- we chose goi coun which are shrimp and pork spring rolls with a side of peanut dipping sauce. Everything tasted as expected, and the authenticity was no different from their sister restaurant Pho Saigon Noodle and Grill restaurant off of Landess in Milpitas. It's no wonder they opened a second location! Food and service are excellent as per their reputation for good homecooked style Vietnamese food. This location is newly opened so there are still some remodeling they will need to do to remove the tones from the previous establishment (which I believe was a frozen yogurt spot). Give these guys a try when you're in the area. I know this restaurant will thrive as our economy begins to fully reopen. Thumbs up to the family-owned chain for leading the charge for excellent Vietnamese food in the small town of Milpitas.

If you're thinking of eating pho, eat early because there is no ac in here. Spacious restaurant. My friends and I ordered grilled pork over rice, grilled beef over vermicelli, grilled pork over Vermicelli and pork chop over rice. The flavor was good 8/10. The eggrolls were crunchy and flavor was good 8/10. We came late around 8 pm and they close at 9. We got our food within 20 mins. Service was fast. They gave huge portion on the grilled pork over rice. We end up taking leftovers to go. I would come back here again.

We ordered stir fried seafood noodles and banh bot chien (egg flour cakes) The food was pretty good. The imperial rolls were a bit oily on that day but it's not going to stop us from ordering it again. Sometimes when you purchase egg rolls at certain places you will run into that every so often. As long as the flavor is on par, it's good enough.

New Pho Saigon 2 Noodle & Grill Restaurant 242 Serra Way, Milpitas, CA 95035 · ~30.3 mi (408) 791-6628 September 18 2021 * After my 4-hour hair appointment with Simple Hair -(See Review. I highly recommend this Salon). I needed to eat, I need sustenance, I need protein. Being that it was at 2:30pm. Most of the Asian restaurants at the Calaveras Shopping Center was closing at 3pm and I was ready to just Burger King it. Which would have been perfect since it was National Cheeseburger that Saturday. Last ditch effort was the Shopping Center- across the street from Calavera Shopping Center (Big Lots..) * New Pho Saigon 2 Noodle & Grill Restaurant. Opened all day. You are a godsend. Perfect place for lunch. . We were greeted and seated within seconds- our pick of the table. Our server was attentive, quick, and responsive. Our food was delicious. It came out fresh, warm, and delicious. * I would like to subtract 1 star- that Saturday they did not have their Thai Tea or Thai Coffee as well as no ice teas. But their food was delicious. *I would come here a second time to try the other various items on the menu and I am sure are delicious as well. The place looks aesthetically pleasing, love the modern orange cafeteria style chairs. Thank you for your service New Pho Saigon 2. Great and friendly service. ** Goi Cuon. (2 pieces. Being general over here.. so you know how you meet a girl, she's cool and low maintenance per looks and just straight up chill, but you want that gorgeous, skinny, pretty girl? So you overlook and friend zone her but then end up regretting you did because she finally met a guy who appreciates the crap out of her? & you missed your shot? Yeah well, that's how I see New Pho Saigon 2. They are low key but always delicious. No fuss no muss bs. Their menu is wide range with almost any Vietnamese craving, you can probably get it satisfied there. The food is simple yet holds a punch to your taste buds. My overall favorite are the Hu Tieu's. I always get the wide rice noodle. I crave it and think about it especially after a late night. It's savory and also sweet with perfectly cooked noodles and tender pork slices, crisp shrimp and a crunchy shrimp cracker that goes perfectly dunked in the hot soup. The portions are plentiful even for a small. Always dependable and price is slightly cheaper than other Vietnamese restaurants around town. Simple, delicious, affordable, what else do you need?

The sea bass itself didn't taste very fresh, and the texture was way too soft in a bad way. Wrapping it in banana leaf made the dish look fancy, but it honestly felt like presentation was doing all the work instead of the actual cooking quality. Even the herbs and chili on top couldn't save it. Definitely one of those dishes that looks amazing in photos but tastes painfully average in real life. What made it even funnier was noticing some of the plates had small cracks on them. Like seriously? You're charging these prices and still serving customers with cracked plates?

The flavor is comforting and well-balanced without being overly salty, and the texture is smooth and satisfying. I highly recommend pairing it with their dough stick (youtiao). It's crispy on the outside, slightly chewy inside, while still staying light and fluffy. Dipping it into the congee completely changes the experience and honestly feels like a must-order combination. Another standout for me is the steamed spareribs with black bean and taro. The spareribs are tender and flavorful, and the black bean sauce adds a savory depth without overpowering the dish. Service continues to be efficient and well-organized, even when busy. One thing I noticed is that the restaurant is especially popular with elderly customers, which honestly says a lot about the food being comforting, traditional, and consistent. I actually like this better as I don't feel rush to order and gives me the chance to look through the menu without feeling rush to order. Iced water was brought out instantly. We ordered the following: 1. Lamb skewer, spicy: you can smell the intensity of the spice when the dish was brought out from the chili powder. The meat is moist and grilled well w/ a nice crisp. There is no gamey smell. I took a first bite but the chili powder slightly burned my gums. Had to ask Hubby to shake some of the chili poweder off the skewers for me. Its a messy dish but very tasty. 2. Spicy beef soup w/ wide noodles: Noodles are HUGE! About 1.5 inches wide and forever long. I had to use the scissors to cut it up. Noodles are good. Chewey texture just as I like it. Comes with a whole egg and beef. The broth has a nice spice to it and unlike other spicy noodle soup I've tried, it does not taste oily or overwhelmed with spices esp Sze Chuan chilis. It had a good balace of savory and spiciness. 3. Wide noodles w/ braised chicken: This dish is delish but it's a BIG dish like a whole chicken was prepared! Can feed up to 4-5 people. It's the size of a medium pizza or even a Large. The thick sauce is very flavorful but not salty. It comes with potatoes, carrots, onions, green bell peppers, and dried whole chili. Its not spicy but may be for kids as we have a high spicy tolerance. Only thing about this plate I didn't like it there's bones. We ended 2 more meals with the leftover. The noodles are hand pulled in house as we sat by the kitchen and saw the kitchen staff making it. Food comes out pretty quick and service is very good. The staff are very attentive and met our needs promptly. We definitely will return to try other plates as the menu is pretty big.
