The Post Office and KeyStore convenience store and newsagents has recently changed hands, much to applause of the local community. The new owners are family run and are friendly and polite. Within the Post Office & KeyStore there are two Post Office counters; a fair sized general store, with freezer cabinets and fridges for fresh food. Hot pies and pasties are sold at lunchtime with the introduction of Hot sandwiches and salads in the future.

The Post Office itself is quite a large shop, with three or four windows available at the usually busy times. Parking is available behind the post office, which is shared with the neighbouring bank and clothes shop. This can be quite busy and difficult to negotiate however, so it may be worthwhile parking a bit further down the road at the tanyard. The shop is similar to many Post Offices in that it sells sweets, chocolate, drinks, cards etc. Which can be purchased at a separate desk so as to not make the queues for the actual post office windows any worse. There is a post box outside for out of hours posting. Like anywhere, the Post Office seems to get busy at lunch time, but the queue is usually fairly fast moving. The staff have always seemed helpful and I've never been disappointed with the service I've received.
