Its horrible reputation of using sweat shops to mass produce its cheap 'n' not-so-cheerful clothing. Sure, I have no idea that stores selling more expensive clothing are trading ethically - but I DO know that this brand thrives on exploitation so I try to avoid it. The store is always so overcrowded anyway on weekends. Personally I don't see the attraction of a throw-away society where nothing is sustainable and things fall apart after a few wears. Sure it's cheap - but does that justify the products - and how they're made?

There are plenty of fashionable items here, and it's so easy to find what you want as the store is spacious and the layout is clear. The changing rooms are also nice as well and never messy. I only really buy stuff from here occasionally, but I am really impressed with the accessory and jewellery section here, so I will probably pop in here more often. They also do a student discount, and had an event recently.

If you have the patience to search through everything, then you will definitely find a few bargains, and you might be lucky enough to snap up a designer item at a really low price. However, I find that it's a bit too much like a jumble sale for me, and I can't really be bothered to spend the time looking through.

The building is impressive and huge and the stock which is inside is very vast. The staff are efficient, eventhough sometimes there is not enough of them. They are also friendly and quite helpful too. They never seem to open a new till even if there is a big queue which is a bit annoying. I really like this clothing store because it has a huge range of unique clothing (sometimes) and more than other TK Maxx stores. You can find some real gems/bargains amongst some of the boring clothes, you just have to search around until you find something. There are lots of tills so there are hardly any queues. The shop is very bright and colourful and you feel good when you're in there. Is is also not too expensive so treat yourself ;-) There are seats where you can sit and put some headphones on and listen to music (good for your boyfriend while he waits for you to look at all the shoes they have haha)

I do shop here a lot but not for trousers or jeans because I can never find any short legs. The shoes are cheap and good quality and the underwear is a bit hit and miss at times. They do carry a good range of mens clothes too especially snazzy boxers.
