She stood at the front (of the church near the altar) as people left the church - didn't even greet people as they came in or left the church. Seems cold to me. Middle school and high school were difficult times, and there were definite cliques within the youth group. However, I had an amazing youth pastor named Aaron Day. He genuinely cared about us, and went out of his way to make sure we were doing alright. The senior pastor, Nate, is an excellent pastor. While he may seem distant, he does know his congregation. I no longer attend Cascade regularly, just due to the distance. However, I highly recommend it if you live close to Monroe. I honestly do not know where I would be spiritually if I hadn't gone to Cascade, as they taught me what it looks like to be a christian and it was there that I found my faith.

Because they are not bogged down by choirs, bands, denominational creeds or other entertainment, what you learn is God's word in it's rawest form, as it's meant to be taught. From the beginning I felt welcomed and accepted, and my teenagers enjoy the youth group program as well. They have a childrens church for my younger girls, so it's easier for my wife and I to enjoy the message and sermon without interruptions or distractions. They also offer the AWANA program, so my kids get consistent interaction with the Bible and the gospel.
