This was our first time snowboarding and we had so much fun! Definitely had some bumps and bruises, but the staff out on the slopes were super understanding and so helpful giving us pointers and tips! However, we felt that the rental staff was a little pushy and judgmental, just wish they could've been as nice as the people helping us out on the slopes. Herman mountain is a staple in our community. It is a fun place for an amazing tubing and skiing experience. The staff is friendly and the prices are low compared to others. I've always been pleased and continue to go there every year. read more

5 stars for what it is, that is a local mountain that offers plenty of learn to ski opportunities, night skiing and a family / kid safe place to be. Why go to the big mountain to learn to ski, when you come here, pay a very reasonable price, get top notch rental equipment, and receive professional instruction. All this and you can do it after work as almost the entire hill is lit for night skiing. Now if you are looking for a big mountain experience, take the several hour drive elsewhere. read more

The tubing mountain was just horrible. We waited to get on the chair lift then once at the top walked DOWN 50ft to get in the line. Once in the line we waited for 35 minutes to get to the front of the line. The ride was pathetic it lasted 30 seconds to go NO MORE than 5mph. This tubing experience was horrible 1 hour at the mountain resulted in 1 ride. read more

I hadn't skied since 1990, and decided to drop by on the way to a job site. I had so much fun. Its a small mountain, but for the price, and convenience being close to Bangor, its just the right place. I will definitely be back. Half day tickets are a bargain. read more

This location seems like a great, affordable down-home ski option. However, during my visit I experienced less than exceptional customer service from 3 employees. In addition to the unwelcoming employees, one rental given to us was broken. Another clearly well used and not smoothly functional. Not the best experience overall in spite of the affordable price. If I ever go again, I will be avoiding the staff, bringing my own equipment, and sticking to the trails which were at least fairly pleasant. read more
