Check in is sloooooow. One lady sitting to the left behind her computers was scatter-brained.

1 star only. Gravel sites, sites are very unlevel. No wifi. No cable hook ups. There must be 100 full timers living here. I would call it a trailer park with a few RV spots. Even the cabins here have full time renters. Nothing here for kids to do. Try somewhere else to stay.

Beautiful, clean place! We needed only 1 night so hot a pull through. We were going to pull in late, so I called, didn't leave a message - thinking they wouldn't call me back son enough of I did. But they called back, even without leaving a message!!! The lady was so nice and helpful. Due to booking through a third party site, my number what's correct so she updated that and said am email would arrive with after hours arrival instructions - I checked later and didn't have the email. I called later, and left a message as we would arrive after 9. They called right back! They got my correct email and gave great clear directions!! Definitely a great place to start whether for a few days or a little longer.

Very easy check in, quite clean park. Nice large lighted dog park. Sites level & asphalt. Not too close with easy pull through. Showers were outstanding with lots of hot water, very clean. WiFi wasn't too hot & cable was good. Site was so long we didn't even unhook so we could leave before sunrise to get on highway sooner. Roads were very wide making pulling in & out a dream. Nice store area. ***Only negative was staff were not requiring people to wear their mask per state mandate when indoors. This to protect themselves & travelers health. (Lives could depend on it) I checked in masked then immediately left. We refused to shop in store due to people indoors without mask.

Nice sized spaces, grassy areas for pets, trees and everything fairly simple to use. The restrooms were clean & we enjoyed our stay

As soon as we arrived I went into the office to register while one of the gentleman working there escorted my husband to our site, 28. This is an amazing RV park. Well taken care of by the nicest people you could meet: Georgianna, Ginger, Pam and their husbands. The restrooms are large with marble counters and showers. The water pressure is great as was the temperature. The laundry room very clean: washers $3.00/30 minutes work great. dryers $1.50/30 minutes also preformed amazing. I meet a woman, it was her first day of working there. Within five days she really took ownership in keeping the park up just like everyone else. We were in site 28, had an amazing view of the mountains until Friday when a camper took the spot across partially blocking the view. The park is located approximately 30 minutes from West Yellowstone entrance, quiet. occasionally there's a dirt bike or ATV going heading to lake. Has BLM land on one side and Forest Service on the other ...I could let my dogs off leash. My big guy really likes running. Henry's lake is not far from the RV park, seen several individuals fishing there. We didn't know it when we made our online reservations but they do offer Veterans discount. Awesome gift shop-FYI have better prices then Yellowstone gift shops. Sell propane, ice, and firewood Playground for kids Dog area in progress, looks like it's going to be spectacular. For a small fee a few of the employees do dog walking for you. Pam and her husband looked over our boys one day. This allowed us to visit areas that required long walks in Yellowstone National park. I was concerned since both my boys can be pullers and Pam is petite. They did an awesome job, Pam said the boys didn't pull at all either time they walked them. She sent me a picture of them on their walk...really eased me. I cannot stress how kind the people working here are. As we were leaving, my husband had hurt his elbow and was having the hardest time getting the sway bar hooked...assistant manager John came right up and hooked it on. He had a lot of knowledge since he has been RVing for 19 years. I would definitely recommend and I hope to come back. Thank you all.

    Nice trees and hook-ups.

What a nice stop! Wide spots AND level. Which is nice for an overnight stay so we didn't even need to detach the trailer. There is a popular restaurant there but they had a problem with staffing (Covid I assume) so they didn't have a table for us. But I heard it was nice. They have a fenced dog run and all the hook-ups you can ask for. We had 4 bars for cell on Verizon so we streamed without trouble. Best part was after Yellowstone the price was amazing with the Good Sam discount. We chose a non-premium back in site and it was $40. Cannot beat that!

After horrible overnight experience at James M Robb Park Colorado with no shower & running water, this place is heaven. Shower (only 3 but pretty big & good warm water) & toilets are very clean. There are sinks at 2 different end of the bathroom area. I haven't met a single soul in it. But as others mentioned there's only 1 for the whole area so its best if you can park at row E-G, spot 1+, 16+, 29+. Wifi is not very strong though and no shower gel provided. Weather is pretty cold in winter so dress warmly when you walk to the bathroom.

Are pets allowed in the Park Models?

Yes. But this is a terrible RV park. It's full of fulltimers.

    No problem.

We had a reservation next door at the Winnemucca RV park but had concerns based on their reviews so we drove in here first and the gal in the office was able to not only accommodate us but also transferred our payment over from the other place because evidently they are under the same company just different management! Thank you so much!! Very clean here! It's all gravel and everything is well maintained. Large bathroom/showers, a pool, 2 doggie areas (no grass though) kind of like large sand boxes but very clean! They even have a dog washing station! Clearly they're a dog friendly RV park. Theres a lot of long term guests there, some who are working the lithium mines 60 miles away, everyone is friendly. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

The office is closed Sunday and Monday but the self check in process was clear and they had our reservation info ready. They have a small playground and a dog washing station. I didn't go into the bathrooms...so no advice on that. The downsides: It seems part RV park part trailer park of sorts. There were many trailers that appeared permanent and lots of big dogs outdoors in kennels set up. They have a koi pond that is in need of a deep clean. The pool looks decent but if the office is closed (all day Sunday and Monday) the pool is closed as well, which is a bummer. Overall: An easy pull off for a night of rest before hitting the road but not quite the place you'd want to hang out outdoors in the evening for ambiance.

When we checked in we advised the lady at the desk that we would be leaving at about 5:00 am to continue our trip home to California and that we needed a spot that would easily accommodate our big rig and allow us an easy exit. she assured us they could provide us with a good spot. As the evening went on they continued to sell the sites around us to additional over sized rigs and it will be a miracle if we are able to leave on schedule in the morning. The sites are small and are gravel and sand. Our awning is within inches of the motorhome in the adjacent site. There is no Landscaping and the place is ugly. There seems to be a lot of permanent low income residents living here as well, and this ads to the seediness of the park. Our suggestion is to avoid Winnemucca all together and continue on into Reno or California before stopping for the night. If I could give them zero stars, I would!

Star Point Trading Post and RV Park is a friendly outpost, located in Mill City, Nevada along I-80 about a half hour west of Winnemucca. Star has a well-equipped general store, that sells a little of everything when it comes to groceries, beer, liquor along with camping supplies, hardware and automotive supplies. But... that's not all, as there's a fantastic restaurant, that features a full-service bar, for your enjoyment! As you enter, you'll notice the cashier's station is to your immediate left, with the bar and restaurant just beyond. To your right is the general store. The building is evenly divided between the store and the restaurant. I love the giant yellow gumball machine. Dollar bills are stuck to every column in the bar area. The general store has a little bit of everything, as it's the only store for many miles. You name it, they have it, including a deli case, snacks, a few groceries, lots of beer and soft drinks, with a shelf that has a good selection of wine and liquor. The aisle in the center has a great selection of nuts and bolts, and on the other side, there is lots of camping and outdoor products. There are also automotive items, and cleaning supplies. Even though they have a near-monopoly for miles around, the prices are what you'd expect to pay if you were in downtown Winnemucca. The second page of the 7-page menu features "Burgers and Sandwiches." I was tempted to order the "Half Pound Foot Long All Beef Hot Dog," but in the end, I went with the "Half Pound Original Buster Burger." All burgers and sandwiches include cheese and a side, and the menu offers a vast assortment to choose from. To see all seven pages of the menu, From the "Burgers and Sandwiches" section of the menu, I went the "Half Pound Original Buster Burger," which seemed to be the "signature" offering on the lunch menu. All burgers include cheese, so I chose "Pepper Jack," and my side was "Crinkle Fries." When you order a burger, you are treated to a vast array of sides, along with several varieties of cheese, which is included with the price of your order. Side choices include crinkle fries, seasoned curly fries, seasoned Jojo potatoes, onion rings, baked potato, small green salad or cottage cheese. I've never seen a restaurant that offers so many choices of sides! Cheese choices include American, pepper jack or Swiss. Add-ons are available for additional $1.00 each. The burger stated out with a half-pound of ground beef, cooked perfectly medium, just the way I love it. When I placed my order, I didn't mention how I desired my meat to be cooked, but I'm sure Tara could have cooked it any way I wanted. The pepper jack cheese was melted perfectly, and the helping cheese was large. The meat and cheese was set on a large, fresh, lightly buttered and toasted roll. The fresh garnishes of lettuce, onion and tomato were placed on the plate, to be added at my discretion. This is an outstanding for a superior burger, as the 'hot' stays "hot," and the "cold' stays cold. Tara knows her burgers! The "Crinkle Fries," were deep fried to a light golden brown, and lightly salted, which made for perfect fries. Included on the side was a small cup of ranch dressing, which makes for an outstanding dip. I could have asked for ketchup or hot sauce, but I'm happy with ranch! I added the onion, lettuce and tomato, and took a bite into my burger, and was instantly in "burger heaven." The meat was lightly seasoned, juicy and tender, and I could actually taste the pepper jack cheese, which enhanced this amazing burger. The cool garnishes contrasted to the hot meat, cheese and bun, which made for one of the best burgers that I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy for a long time. Chef Tara has talent! As I enjoyed my cheeseburger, a steady stream of locals came in to purchase things in the store, pick up a newspaper, or just to chit-chat. Don knew everybody by name, as Mill City is a small community. My "Original Buster Burger" was simply delicious, the fries were amazing, the beer was cold, and the staff was super friendly. When you're in the mood for great food, and maybe you need to pick up a few supplies, stop by Star Point Trading Post and RV Park, enjoy the food, and say a friendly "hello" to Don and Tara.
