I rarely feel compelled to post about bad service, but this was so horrible I'm posting within 15 minutes of getting out of the taxi. 10 minutes late...quoted $49 by dispatch...told $65 by aforementioned late driver for " tax and tip". When I refused we "negotiated" down to $60, because really, I'm already 10 minutes late for my flight and don't have time to debate. Use at your own risk! Horrible experience. read more

Just called them up, got stuck at a building behind the Prudential tower. They said they don't do "pick up". I have no idea what that means.

This company is extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. The staff is rude, difficult, and contentious. The individual we spoke with over the phone was arguing with us and seemed annoyed by the mere fact that we had called. The cab arrived 20 minutes late and offered no apology and also seemed annoyed by our presence. The cab ending up being over $100, which was more than the original quoted price. Later that day we called again because we believed we left our phone in the car. The individual on the phone tried telling us that we never used the car service and offered no assistance, he only gave rude comments and had no idea what he was doing. I suggest that you never use this car service. You're better off walking home. read more

It takes a lot to get me to write a bad review. I hired American On Time Limo doing business as New Diamond Limo to pick me up from JFK and bring me to my home in NJ. I booked weeks in advance and had a confirmation email. When we arrived at JFK no one was there to pick us up. I called their office and a man informed me they would be there in 20 mins. I waited 45 mins and still no pick up, so I called their office again and the same man told me the driver was parking at JFK and would be there shortly. I waited another 10 mints and called back and this time a woman answered and said she would find out what was going on. She called me back and said she was sorry but no one could pick us up. I was very confused. I asked her who was the man who told me a few minutes earlier that the car as parking at JFK??? She said that was the owner but he was no longer able to speak to me. SO AFTER LYING TO ME FOR 60 MINS, THEY LEFT US STRANDED AT JFK!!! We had to take a taxi home that cost $100 more. read more

I had these people pick me up at Newark Airport, they were 20 minutes late and told me it was my fault for not answering my phone when they called....which they hadn't. When I got to my destination, they charged me more then they had quoted. I called 3 times after that to get a refund for the over charge and never recieved a call back...finally had my credit card company do it. The driver was nasty and impolite. He made his contemt for me being A WOMAN very clear, made me very uncomfortable and I would never use or recommend this company to anyone. So where to begin......the fact that the back sedan or town car I requested for my daughter's prom was, instead, an old Suburban Truck! AND it was late. AND the driver had the nerve to tell me I was getting a "bargain" because the trucks were more expensive! The driver had NO IDEA where the Morristown Hyatt was - even though this company is based OUT OF MORRISTOWN!!!!! My daughter and her date arrived to the prom 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY CLOSED THE DOORS AFTER SHE FOUND THE DIRECTIONS ON HER PHONE USING GOOGLE!!!!! I called the next day to complain - no apologies, no refund offered - just that next time "I'd get a different driver." There won't be a next time. read more

I have used New Diamond many times for trips to and from the airport. They always call to confirm and have never made me wait. One of their drivers waited 2 hours for me due to a flight delay. I call them when my flight lands so they know I am ready to be picked up. This company is my first call when I travel. read more

The worst guy I ever met, initially it was $40 we discussed but he charged $110 after reached airport. I couldn't argue with him because of the airport traffic. After my card was swiped he didn't stayed for a sec he just left, after going home I hv checked my account and he charge $110, when I call the owner no one responded properly, finally I could hold on manager after long time, he promised me that money will be credited back into my card but that never happen. My experience with them was HORRIBLE. They are UNRELIEVABLE. I had reserved a car for me & my father at Newark airport with hour flight arriving after midnight. When I reserved the car I stated numerous times thT the car shld be there by 12:30am & they guy stated that yes he got it - it was AM. No car arrived when I called they guy on the phone was apolegetic & said he was sorry but he messed up when he took my call & put the arriving time down as pm. So he sais he would send a car ASAP if I wanted-like I had a choice considering I was straned at the airport after flying home from California with my 87 year old father. After numerous calls with being told a car would be there within 45 minutes & the the next call the car would be there in 20 minutes & then another call in a hout. Eventually a car showed & while in the car on the way home I receive a call from another driver telling me he was waiting for me. What a fiasco. To add insult to injury they droped me off & then my father who paid the bill but the driver never told my 87 yr old father that the tip was included so he tipped him 20% on top of the unforementioned tip. When I called New Diamond the next day to inquire why the bill was so high the owner said it was becuase of the additional tip. When I explained my father was not aware that a tip was already included he said he would credit my father's account. The next day my father was billed not credited the Additional tip amount when I called back the owner saidhe would issue 2 credits. He only issued I credit & when I called back the phone was never picked up - it was only picked up when I used a different phone not my cell. All I was told was that the owner would be in in a little while & would call me back. After a couple of days of this I gave up trying to contact them. I have never written a review on a business but if I can help 1 person NOT choose this service then I feel that I have done a good deed. My husband & I needed a ride to & from Newark Airport for our vacation. I googled limo services in my area and found a business called "Matawan Taxi Airport Limo Service,129 Main St,Matawan, NJ 07747,(732) 649-1787, http://www.aontlimo.com". I figured it was close since I live in Matawan so I booked a town car to & from the airport giving them all of our flight information. I just have to say that since then, I clicked on the website associated with their add and it brought me to "America On Time Limousine, Phone:1-973-808-8822, email:info@aontlimo.com". BUT my invoice/receipt (which I had to beg for) said "New Diamond Taxi & Limo Car Service, NJ Tel: (973) 920-2500, Email: info@newdiamondlimo.com". God knows how many other names this business may go under. Maybe they keep changing their name so the bad reviews can't catch up with them. So..........I called to confirm the day before and the person who answered the phone seemed annoyed. We were picked up at 4:15am (on time) during the week of the heat wave. The car did not have a/c on and the driver kept wiping the windshield with a towel and drove all the way there with the windows open with the hot humid air blowing on us. He was swerving in and out of lanes on the NJ turnpike with no other cars on the road and kept hitting his brakes for no reason. We couldn't wait to get out of the car. The driver said we had to pay cash (even though we gave a credit card over the phone). The trip which included a 20% gratuity was $75 and the driver could not break a hundred. I gave him $80 and he offered no change. Now time to come home. Again I called the day before my return trip to confirm and again had attitude from the person answering the phone who assured me we were scheduled to be picked up. Well...we got to the airport and no car service. After 15 minutes I called and after they put me on hold for 10 minutes they said the driver was 7 minutes away and they would call me. Still no driver so I called again and told them we would go out to the curb and wait so they didn't even have to park. After 50+ minutes of waiting the driver finally showed up dressed in old worn jeans (not very professional). The car had about 5 of those Christmas tree air fresheners hanging all over the place that were choking us when we breathe. Please listen to me and everyone else who left reviews here so you do not have to go through what we did. read more
