Lots of music from the band and hymns to sing along with. The pastor gave a beautiful sermon that lifted us up and empowered us to go out into the world with confidence. Our family has been at Ardmore Baptist Church for a little over 5 years now and this community of…read morefaith has truly become our family in Winston-Salem. My wife, two children, and I were immediately welcomed and made to feel an important part of not only the church, but what we are trying to do outside the walls of the church. There are a great number of places we've been encouraged and been able to plug in and serve through the Ardmore family in big and small ways. Places like City Lights Ministry, Samaritan Inn, SECU, Ronald McDonald House, and the Bus Station ministry, Solus Christus locally, international missions to serve Haitian refugees in the Bahamas, or regional missions serving here in NC. The new POPS (Parents of PreSchoolers) group is awesome! Ardmore also has a fantastic new Senior Pastor in Tyler Tankersley! He's young, vibrant, engaging (not just from the pulpit but also one-on-one), and is leading us to focus on who God has created us to be as individuals and as a community IN the broader community. The ministerial staff work beautifully together and all the different areas align toward common goals. This is one of the few places left it seems where there are so many people with differing opinions on the world, but they still work and love side by side. None of us is perfect, by any stretch, but this church family tends to put aside worldly differences to work together. One of the most important things for us is to know that our kids are loved and cared for and that their spiritual development is important to the people of the church. The Children's Ministry and Youth Ministry areas are wonderful at Ardmore. The leaders encourage the kids to ask questions and have the kids engage the story. Our kids have been through Ardmore Baptist Preschool and they loved it! There is so much love and positive faith guidance, and so many opportunities to live out our callings with Ardmore that I can't imagine a better place to develop our faith and serve people around this city.

In addition to having multiple services each weekend, The Summit Church has two, and soon to be three, church campuses. God is growing His Church through The Summit. They have a wonderful youth program, with over 300 active youth. They have a college aged, singles, parents, etc group.... for just about anyone! They have expressive worship, and a very contemporary, modern, and inviting look! They have three services to suit anyone at 8am, 10am, & 12noon on Sunday mornings, which each have their own flare! They have many life groups that you can join to get to know others better in the church. They have a heavy focus on children at the church that shows with all the activities they have for them. The young adult area run by Noah is a must for any teenagers getting ready to take their next step towards Christ. They have many programs to help the community. I can not stress enough on how good the band in the church is. It is run by Tori and is just amazing! Come in and give us a try or just to say hello. Vocation Bible School is around the corner. Even if you are not part of the church, all children are welcome to partake. Keep an eye out for many of the other holiday events that Hillsdale sponsors (Trunk or Treat, Easter egg hunt...etc).
