A great spot along the Santa Cruz Coast. Close to so many daily activities. Fires are allowed. Dogs welcomed. Nice and clean with restrooms and showers. Potable water available. Dump stations on site to leave your business behind. Lots of coastal wildlife. Wood available for purchase from the camp host Mark. Nice relatively easy walk to the waves from the bluffs. Close to highway 1, yet far enough away that all we heard was the surf and wildlife. Spots can be tough to come so reservations are suggested well ahead of time as they become available. Happy camping for happy campers.

This place is certainly one of the nicest campgrounds in California. It sits right on the bluffs. It has lots of beautiful views, trails to the beach and perfect weather.

    Nice morning!

New Brighton Campground is one of the best campgrounds I like on the California coastal. Beautiful beach, close to the freeway, good distance between campsites. Sunny but not hot most of the time. Most of the campsites in New Beighton are not full hook-up sites. But bathrooms and water are nearby to most of the sites. The pavements are wide and deep and pretty level at most of the sites. Four dump stations for RV are also available for a $10 additional charge. New Brighton Campground is very close to the shopping area and supermarkets too. No need to overload your vehicle. You can get your supplies easily. The beaches are only a few minutes' walk. Don't forget to bring your swimsuit to enjoy the sun or the very cold water! Lol!

Love this campground . Area is clean, paved for trailers and motor homes . Has family friendly walking trails . We took a trail to the beach which had a nice scenery, Some of the campsites have a nice view of the ocean ( I think "premium"). At our site, I saw colorful birds ( hummingbird with red was my favorite) . There were many bunny rabbits and some cute yellow belted bumblebees. Restrooms and showers were okay, not much of a difference between other state campgrounds.

Stayed here one night. Campsites are ok. Roomy. Quiet even at night and early morning. You can hear the waves. Bathrooms were scarce and power washing them down 1x day would help the smell. Showers are coin paid. Beach walk from camoground is not the easiest. Not for elderly or handicapped.

Nice table with a bear box

This place is a great campground! Although a lot of spots are not very private, they are rather large and clean. Most of them are surrounded with poison oak, so beware! The premium spaces have a spectacular view of the ocean and huge spots. Highly recommend!

Our first time camping here. For the most part, this is a great family campground. Bathrooms were clean, they have coin operated showers, close to the beach and you can buy firewood from the camp host for $10 a bag, they had games and s'mores for kids one night in the amphitheater and a free little concert another night . The only negatives were that our camp site #33 didn't have shade and the BBQ grill was not usable at all. *i have learned from past experiences to bring a BBQ rack. We use an old oven rack (see picture).other than that we had a great time here.

We had a premium site #78 and honestly I wouldn't do it any other way. We had a full view of the ocean from our campsite and it was just gorgeous. Our spot was directly across from the bathrooms & showers. The trail to the beach is between campsites #70 & #73 and the other trail has been closed for a few years I guess. Short walk to beach, pretty easy with all our gear and a 2 and 5 year old and dog. Dogs are allowed on this beach but must stay on a leash. The only issue is that our neighbors were pretty loud until about 12:30 am but besides that I would say excellent spot. If you can grab a premium site, I highly recommend. We were tent camping so I can't speak for RV's and trailers but we saw plenty . The non premium campsites were smaller, no ocean view and looked very cramped.

My feedback about Manresa Uplands Campground…read more After visiting the day use area several times, my family and friends made it a tradition to camp there, and everything about our experience was perfect and relaxing. We especially appreciate the high quality of service and upkeep, including the informative attendant at the front gate, the well-maintained campground, and the helpful State Park day workers that we would run into occasionally. The restrooms and coin operated showers were maintained. A special note of thanks goes to the camp host, Andrew, and his black Labrador, Hoppy. Their effort, including driving around in the old golf cart to sell firewood bundles, was a perfect touch that enhanced our stay. We have returned multiple times and look forward to continuing this tradition. Thanks, Andy

This was not my first awful experience here. There is zero respect for neighbors, it's loud, no rangers on duty to patrol, no camp host anywhere near the campsite. Quiets hours?!! Nope. Bass so loud it shook the ground from two sites over. Screaming and yelling over music, wild drinking, well after midnight, zero consideration - and no one adhering to the camp rules, let alone common courtesy. Bathrooms were a wreck, not maintained. I try places more than once, just to see if it was a one off experience... well it seems status quo here. Party spot - 10/10 Normal camper looking for peace in nature - 0/10

We weren't the only group at Koinonia in early April, but the grounds are so spacious that it sure felt like it. The weather was absolutely perfect when we went, and we enjoyed a whole lot of time out in the fresh air, sunshine, and greenery. There are hiking trails, a huge baseball/kickball field, volleyball courts, multiple basketball courts, a giant slide, ping pong and foosball tables, and so much more. Everything is so well maintained and cared for by the staff. We never had to look around for basketballs, volleyballs, frisbees, etc. because every space was so well-stocked. The giant slide was probably my favorite part, though. When we got a brief tour of the place our first evening there, the guide told us to make sure we use the cut tube socks to cover our arms because we could go so fast on the slides that it'd "take skin off." o_O Heard that warning loud and clear and definitely made sure to sit on the burlap sacks and cover my arms. It doesn't feel like it goes too fast at first, but just hold on! Breakfast, lunch and dinner - each meal was something to look forward to, and in the evenings, we always had access to hot water for tea and hot chocolate, and other yummy sweet and savory snacks. The fire pits near the foosball tables were awesome and enabled us to have small group discussions outdoors in an otherwise chilly morning or early evening. On a Saturday evening we were able to use the large fire pit area for s'mores and it was just perfect. All in all, a really nice place to unplug and spend quality time with brothers and sisters in Christ against the backdrop of God's beautiful creations.

The service we received from the camp director Jeremy was excellent, the food service was really great and even though we did have a minor hiccup communicating our requests for special diets, every one was well taken care of and the food was delicious. The facilities there are wonderful and we had a great event, utilizing the auditorium for Three days. They have so many ways to pass the time, from the giant slide, to the fire pits, softball green, zip line, hiking trails, camp store, coffee kiosk etc plus the general natural beauty of the surroundings. The big bonus is the is no wireless there thought they do have wifi, but it is spotty. Come, unplug and enjoy the quiet and nature.

The season runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day and there are events almost every weekend. Families put on Saturday night dinners and Sunday breakfasts. The grounds boast a gazebo at the top of the property which has a beautiful view of the mountains, a creek a the bottom of the property which was a blast to play in as a kid, a playground, a pool, a heated porch for dinners, a snack bar, and plenty of space to run around.
