I've loved going here since I moved to the area. Great, consistent cut for a reasonable price and extremely friendly service.

First, the salon itself was clean, well ventilated, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I appreciated that the space felt comfortable and sanitary. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the quality of my nails this time, especially considering the price. I got a gel extension manicure and a pedicure and ended up paying $178 total (including $15 tip), which honestly shocked me. I was charged extra to remove my previous acrylics, and I also asked for callus remover during the pedicure, which somehow made the pedicure price extremely high. The pedicure itself was okay, but the massage was very underwhelming. The bigger issue is the manicure. There's visible gel/glue buildup underneath several of my nails, and they just don't look professionally finished. For the amount I paid, I expected much cleaner work and better attention to detail. I really wanted to love my experience because I had such good experiences here in the past, but unfortunately this visit did not match the quality or value I expected.

I can bring in a vague idea or inspo pic and she somehow always executes it exactly how I imagined... if not better. Her skill set is super versatile, too, so whether I'm going simple or more detailed, chrome, 3D, fine lines, French tips... she can do it all and it always looks clean and intentional. She's also really efficient in the best way. Nothing ever feels rushed, but she works with a level of ease and confidence that makes the whole process feel seamless. And the durability is kind of unreal. I'm hard on my hands for my job and I've never had lifting, chipping, or breaks-- ever. That alone is rare, especially with this level of design. It's this mix of creativity and technical precision that's so hard to find, and why I keep coming back. So grateful to have found this spot... do yourself a favor, stop scrolling and BOOK IT!

This was the…read moresecond time that I visited Spectrum - the first was to get a gel-x set and pedicure with a friend, which was fine. This time, however, all I wanted was a builder gel fill but I left with two cut fingers and pure disappointment. I could tell that the woman doing my nails was shaving aggressively, but I figured she wanted to be quick & efficient. I didn't feel the cuts when they happened, otherwise I definitely would've said something about the pain. However, later in the process, I heard her say "oh" and I noticed that my left ring finger was ACTIVELY bleeding. Most frustratingly, she did not say sorry OR address the blood, rather, just started cleaning it like nothing happened. Then I looked at my right ring finger and saw cut skin there as well. I got light headed but couldn't muster up the courage to object. I shouldn't have to. The photos do not do it justice because as I mentioned, my left ring finger was BLEEDING down the nail. To make things worse, this nail technician was extremely rude and short. When I asked her if my left pinky nail could be shortened to match the length of my right pinky, she looked at it and didn't say a word. It wasn't until all the paint was finished that I then asked her again "can we please make this length match"? And she finally said she was going to, as if my question was an imposition. The audacity. At the end of the appointment, I still tipped (less than I normally do), regretfully-so. When I asked her if her name was one of the displayed venmo cards she said "no". Unfortunately, I do not have her name but she was on the younger side with glasses. I would not recommend unless you want to feel rushed, ignored, and even injured. I will not be going back to this salon.

I can tell it's well loved by the surrounding community because there were so many people who walked in and knew the staff by their first name. I walked here from the bus stop off Rhode Island and 16th. It was a short and pleasant 10min walk from where I started. It was flat until I passed by a Whole Foods when the journey was all uphill. Short of breath, I made it to the top of the hill and to my destination *phew. It was a nice quad and glute workout for sure. I was greeted by a friendly staff and led to a wall of nail polish (sometimes the choices are overwhelming). I chose a bright pink and sparkly OPI nail polish. It felt summery. I ended up feeling tense as I sat and eased my feet into warm water. Annie, my nail artist, told me to relax but my body wanted to do the opposite. I think I get tense when my toenails are being cut as if to anticipate pain, but when I felt comfortable with her technique, I started to relax. It was probably the most relaxed I've been all week. Annie was sweet and attentive. She also did a really good job removing my cuticles and massaging my calves. I needed it! It was a great way to end a stressful day at work. I would love to come back!

They have a good selection of Dazzle Dry and although they charge a little more for it, it does seem to avoid chipping for a long time. Less of a good selection for OPI or other brands but the Dazzle seems worth it. Plus they have online booking. Highly recommend!

The technician clipped my cuticle too far, causing bleeding, and was very rough throughout the service -- especially while removing the builder gel and filing my nails. She also skipped steps that Andrew had previously done, which affected the overall quality. I clearly asked for a gel builder fill and to keep my length, but she began filing my nails down anyway. I had to repeat myself multiple times and eventually had to switch to Gel-X just to regain the length that was removed. There also seemed to be a language barrier. However, instead of asking a coworker for clarification, she continued with what she thought I said rather than confirming my request. I ultimately had to stop and ask another staff member walking by to help translate. Additionally, pricing was not transparent. The service is listed online as $70 for a gel builder fill, but I was charged $85. When I asked about it, I was told I had already been given a discount, which was confusing and not explained. This technician needs more professionalism and should be spoken to regarding both technique and customer care. Overall, this experience felt rushed and careless, which was very disappointing given how great my first visit was.

I always try to clearly explain the style I'm looking for, but during busy hours it often feels like my requests are dismissed rather than the technicians helping me find the closest available option. At times, I felt awkward trying to figure out what was possible on my own while the technician simply watched instead of assisting me. At my last visit, the Gel-X application felt especially rushed. There was excess glue left around my nails which looked messy and unprofessional. While the final design was nice, it ultimately was not what I had originally asked for. When I expressed disappointment prior to leaving, the technician later explained there had been a language barrier. However, this was never communicated during the time of service. Instead, I was repeatedly told "no" to the options I asked about. Afterward, I reviewed the salon's website and realized they actually did offer the exact style I wanted. What made me especially uncomfortable, though, was that the technician put their hands in my hair without asking first. That completely crossed a personal boundary and felt very disrespectful. Overall, I think this salon is fine for simple services, but if you're looking for detailed nail art or a more attentive customer experience, you may leave feeling frustrated.
