Sadly our shitzu is no longer with us but Tanis is just as happy to take our new dog (a Great Dane/mastiff cross) as well as the terrier who has never been as comfortable staying with someone as he is with Tanis.

We asked specifically for a first time groom for our two 1 year old dogs. I could hear my dogs outside through the concrete building. When approached the groomer said "I bet you're wondering why I'm not with your dogs?" She offered a lame excuse and continued on her way. We waited an hour longer than the quoted time for our pups to be released, she hands us a bill and walks away. No love for our dogs, not nurturing...we will never bring our sweet dogs here again. I hope the dogs will forgive us for such a traumatic experience.

They treat my dog like a king, and truly look after him as if he were home. (or better yet). Whenever he sees their van pull up, he is ready to just jump in so he can be wisked off to his spa for his holiday. I never ever have to worry about him, as they treat him like one of their own. This Kennel is highly recommended for short or long term stays. They are clean, and have a lot of space for off lease entertainment.

We tired one kennel just outside of Cochrane only to have our dog returned home filthy (had been peed on by other dog) his bed was all peed on and our groomer found a cut on his foot the next day... so we were very on guard as we continue to search for another kennel - that's when we tried Country Tails. Dave and Cathy are fantastic and it is clear they love and are commitment to running a safe and fun Country Tails Kennel. They quickly put you at ease, and our dogs loved them!! Last time we dropped them off at the kennel, our older dog (who had been there before) didn't even look back at us but pulled the staff member into the back to be with the other dogs - he's only ever done this at our old kennel before our move ...that speaks volumes to us!! By our third session with coach Amanda's guidance he had the slat mill figured out and was reaching top speeds! He loves the pool and the outdoor space as well, and is extra happy when we bring one of his friends. Having access to Sho Gun's to fulfil his mental and physical needs over the last three months has noticeably reduced his overall anxiety. Mystic Pawz is our go-to grooming salon, and we recommend it to anyone who asks (or even if they…read moredon't). I have a rescue dog that is very skittish. His first groom he was taken to Petsmart. He came out looking like they only poofed him up instead of shaved him - but in the years since, we haven't been able to get our dog to even go into Petsmart for any reason. We heard about Mystic Pawz at the offleash park from a very handsome pup and his owner. We figured we would try it. We've been to many groomers, but this is the only one that our dog doesn't seem terrified of. Each and every time we've been there, he has come out looking wonderful and goes in willingly (which is refreshing as he's been known to break out of his collar to escape other grooming salons). The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the dogs are taken care of. The attention to detail is wonderful. They are quick to respond and very flexible about getting the dogs in. Despite moving further away from this salon, it will be the only one we take our pup too. It is definitely worth the extra drive. If you want your dog treated right, looking good and for a more than fair price - these guys are superb! They are consistent, friendly, and really great to work with. We will be life long pet owners - so we will be lifelong customers of these guys!
