I saw Dr Chawla for migraines. I had not been to a neurologist in 10 years and lately I have been…read moregetting migraines more frequently. There were many new treatments and medications available that Dr Chawla recommended. He gave me samples and advised me on which of the new drugs he has had the best experiences with. This was good news because my gp had advised me it was not the best to continue with Triptans since I am now over 50 and they can cause hardening of the arteries. He also advised me on a complicated medical problem I am having (thoracic outlet syndrome.) Some medical issues are so complicated it can be unclear where to go for treatment. Dr. Chawla gave me names of Doctors to contact for help in this area. Finally I will say everything else about the visit was also nice. I was seen quickly, the staff was nice, organized and friendly. The location of the office was easy to get to and parking was convenient.

Dr. Chawla is an amazing neurologist, one I've been seeing for over 11 years. He is personable,…read morecaring, and extremely knowledgeable in his practice. I've had such a great experience with him I've continued to see him even after moving out of the area. However, the rest of the staff leaves much to be desired. As others have mentioned, you will ALWAYS be placed on hold when you call in. And stay on hold for a very long time. The bright side is the office has recently developed an online appointment booking system, so I've no reason to call in and wait forever. Would recommend Dr. Chawla to anyone!

I scheduled my appointment 4-5 months in advance and provided my insurance information ahead of…read moretime, which was verified by phone. I also requested my previous doctor who retired to send all my medical records to Dr. Chawla's office back in December 2025. I was surprised to learn upon arrival that the office did not accept my insurance (Cigna EPO Connect). I was still offered the appointment for a $150 fee, and when I offered my insurance card for their records, the front desk declined. Dr. Chawla was professional, attentive, and helpful. He listened to my concerns, completed an exam, agreed to submit a 6 month prescription, and even recommended another physician who may accept my insurance, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, several hours later my pharmacy had not received the prescription. When I called the office, I was told they were short-staffed and could not confirm when the prescription would be submitted/filled or whether prior authorization would be needed. Given that the office had declined to collect my insurance information, this was concerning. While I was very satisfied with Dr. Chawla's care and assistance, I was disappointed with how the front desk and administrative aspects of my visit were handled.

The system then hangs me up. I am now supposed to be his patient, but haven't seen him yet. What to do?

My opinion on this place has changed a lot from my first review. I'm going from 5 stars to now 3…read morestars. While I love, love, love Lindsey Cotten as my provider, she is attentive, nice, makes me feel comfortable, and she cares. BUT, the process of getting medication refills at this place is a nightmare. They expect you to make a follow-up appt after EVERY lab test, even routine tests like for me, my thyroid and iron levels, (which I do every 6 months) before they will refill your medications. Even if everything is normal and even if I have been dealing with thyroid issues all my life. Lab results automatically release to the patient portal which is great, and many people can easily interpret the results without needing a follow-up especially if they are dealing with something they have dealt with for many, many years, and also if they also work in the medical field. But, this place almost forces follow-ups on you with a ton of calls and messages about lab results being in and NEEDING to come in to discuss. My biggest annoyance is if something like my iron or vitamin D is low, I don't need to take time out of my day and work to come in for an appointment so I can be told to take a supplement. That is something that can be told over the phone. I totally understand needing a follow up for an abnormal test of sensitive or urgent matter or if patients REQUEST one because they dont understand how to read blood work, but never have I needed to make so many appts for basic things like iron and vitamin D or to get refills of medications I have been on for decades. This facility would be so much better if they valued patients time more and just said, here is a 6 month refill of your meds, we will do labs in 6 months again and if everything looks good, will give you another 6 month refill. Every other place I visit does it this way. Also, if it is something that is an easy fix, tell us on the phone!!!! "Hey, your vitamin D came back low, go get a supplement of vitamin D at the store, we recommend this brand, and we will recheck levels in 2 months." Done, easy, no appt needed, and opens up more appointment availability for real needs. I am really hoping they change this way of doing things and soon because again, I love my provider there, but I am already close to finding another office to go to based on their crazy way of doing things.

We won't be back, I have zero confidence they care about my children. This was the last chance. It's very sad, especially when your child is sick all you want is someone who actually cares and is kind.
