The restaurant has changed from a rustic local restaurant to more of an upscale luxury place. But, staff is friendly and accommodating to hikers, the interior has still rustic sections and the kids love the large play room with lots of playstructures and fun things to do. The first few times I brought my kids there, once we were back in California and I asked them where they want to go for lunch, they said "Engel."
