I may deny that I'm a hipster, but I really do love hipster-ish things like gourmet coffee, vintage…read moreclothing, and vinyl records. Because of this, I'm drawn to used record stores all over the world and when I walked past this cute little shop in Nuremberg, I had to go inside!
Kill-O-Zap is tiny with a limited inventory, so you can browse quickly. I didn't find any gems but every single one of the records I picked up was in pristine condition (seriously, is this a German thing?) and looked brand new although they were vintage.
When I went in there were two local punk rock looking guys inside chatting up the dude behind the counter. They were friendly enough but mostly just ignored me, which I kind of liked because I could browse pressure-free.
I was hoping I could get a Husker Du album in my suitcase but I was traveling light so it was a no go. Next time I'll need to forego the backpack and travel with a big old suitcase so I can purchase records as a souvenir.
