It is absolutely amazing and the perfect place to experience Italian meats and cheeses in Sorrento. They only have one thing on the menu - meat and cheese boards - all you do is choose the size. We were two people who had not eaten and were hungry and it was typical Italian dinner time. We are every scrap but it would probably be too much for most couples. They have hundreds of wines to go along. They will help you customize the board if you have specific things you want to try and you can pick out of the case in the shop. The staff is lovely and most are the owners or family. It is a small family run business in a great location in the Main Street.

It is the salty version of the land of milk and honey. You'll even find milk, too. And yogurts (originally from greek), butter, pasta (fresh and dried) and probably even honey. I definitly spotted some wine. However the center of attention is the big charcuterie and cheese counter. Think dry-cured ham, salami, ham, sausages, even sausage slices preserved in aromatic oil. I am now sharing my biggest crush: the ricotta!!! It is sooooo good! Exceptional! It is that good, you gonna row your boat from any place to Mergellina harbour, walk barefeet to this shop and buy 1 kg. I am serious. I definitely want to go back as it is Xmas season and I am certain I will find a lot of goodies for my gourmet friends. I also spotted some dishes that are very common to be offered in Naples from the counter such as aubergines with tomato sauce, rapini/friarielli, cooked salssiccia sausage, and so on. As they sell fresh bread, too, maybe they would fix you an extra amazing sandwich with all the things they have to offer. And they do deliver. If you show your enthusiasm for the products that sweet old man behind the counter sure will make some suggestions what you could buy and what he recommends. We had so many sit-down dinners we just wanted something to eat next to the water. The man behind the counter is super-friendly and a real joy to talk to. We discussed how to say eggplant in many different languages. We had his lasagna, canneloni (cheese and spinach) and the meatballs. All were excellent and tasted home-made which they appeared to be since what appeared to be his mom was behind him helping out. Meatballs were absolutely delicious. Great flavor. Either way, this place is such a find. Get something to go, Chat up the owner and you'll have yourself a real Italian experience.
