This small tea room in Friedenau, a slightly posh district away from the tourist turmoil, is a very…read morenice place to eat very good cakes. The best way is, of course, in the summer where the outside terrace (on a quite busy street) allows you to savor your chocolate cake and sip your latte under the sun. Provided you get your chocolate cake: more often than not, there is a variety of - admittedly yummy - other cakes available in the refrigerated display window, but no chocolate cake anymore... even though, I guess, 50% of the customers want their chocolate fix. (Which means that even though there might be some left when you enter the shop, it might be sold out by the time you get the chance to place your order.) Another criticism: the staff isn't very friendly. Prices are OK though and completely justified by the quality of the products. Counter service only! Don't wait at your table for a waiter.
