The place obviously is catering to tourists visiting the downtown area as most folks in there buying stuff when we went we essentially buying similar things. They do also have weekly specials on various items which you can find on their website, which obviously helps to save a buck or two if your traveling on a budget as Copenhagen itself can be rather expensive when compared to other european cities.

This store is organized, clean and seems everything fresh. Even there was a lots of people in the time I was shopping, no big lines in front of cash register. Last few years I can see, that Netto is really caring about their stores. They really taking them one by one and refurbish them. Thumb up from me!

The store was clean, but there wasn't much of a variety of anything and the store labelling was initially a bit confusing (having the saving in as a bigger number than the actual price is a little odd to me). There's probably nothing wrong with it, but it felt like I had walked into an express-type shop rather than a proper supermarket.

I recognize more brands plus I don't feel like I'm blocking other shoppers as I try to look up the Danish word for nutmeg. C. The hours are convenient and include being open most of the day on Sundays.

There is probably a better one, but in Osterbro; it's a good one. I can eat nearby before or after. It's a nice walk from the apartment without being TOO far. It's an inviting little plaza. All within 100 ft is sushi, bagels, a sit down restaurant with a small salad bar and good looking burgers, and an Italian place and a brunch place. Outdoor seating everywhere. You can grab household items at Jysk. And if Meny doesn't have everything there is another grocery (I think it's a Kiwi). Shoppers beware however, this one closes earlier than most-like 7 (19:00) weekends and 8 (20:00) weekdays! I feel comfortable there. Like I can really browse and shop like I do at home. Staring at the aisles wondering, "what do I feel like having?" Not all of them are like that. Most have felt like a convenience store. This one feels like you can talk to each other and not feel out of place. Even waiting in line at the Checkout!

This fotex was right across the street from the Babette. Fotex is where I had the following…read moreexperience. It was only steps from the front door so I didn't have to bundle when it snowed. It was only a stride or two away to my crack-like velvety chocolate milk fix. The name of this philtre is "COCIO". It leaves you with a little bit of dryness in your cheek making you go back for more; and I did. No wonder cooler cases are large and filled up with LOTS of bottles of them. As I returned to my Fotex almost everyday for my COCIO, I also was introduced to their Marzipan offerings and then another time, their licorice.....and so on.....lot's of Danish goodies. I did spend a goodly amount of time looking at what the Danes ingest and thinking how I could smuggle a lot of their products on the plane. but I didn't come up with a plan. So, what is FOTEX? you ask, well for me it was that brown liquid selling for 15 Kronner. It's a mini supermsrket about the size of 7-11, at least this one was. They are all over. So it came time to leave and now I am trying to figure out how to get some to me somehow. I've got it bad.....really bad. You have to go to Fotex . There are many about. Find that iconic bottle (I wish I had brought one back) ((empty course)), and delight yourself with one the best treats the Danish have......Cocio. It's been making people hooked since 1951.
