Boy does this need revision! STAY AWAY from this company at all costs! In one instance, our account representative confirmed a 401(k) contribution and then simply didn't follow through with it...causing a nightmarish chain of events. In another they simply failed to accurately file 941s, causing a multi-year saga with the IRS. Their negligence coupled with lack of follow-through in solving the problems they create is astonishing. I'm a CPA and decided to try them out. I have some unusual needs with my clients, but was assured NetPay could and would handle it. I moved 7 of my clients over. During this first year, three of my seven clients experienced major problems. A bonus check to the owner at year end (June 30th) was recorded as July 2nd, potentially costing my client thousands of dollars. When I pointed it out, they fixed it, but my client received multiple letters from the IRS requesting thousands of dollars and threatening to lien assets. I had to do a lot of hand holding to keep from losing my client. Next, I have a client who issues manual checks to his one employee and reports the payroll to NetPay. I compute the owners payroll. They recorded three of the employee's checks as being paid to the owner and one check to the owner was never reported! I figured this out during my review of the end of the year and had to quickly request corrections. The errors with the employee checks caused the owners check to miscalculate. Caught that today and requested correction. Was promised a call back, never got one. Third client, they completely missed a pay period to the client's five employees. Paid them all a week late. I can't risk continuing to do business with a company that makes this many errors and does not communicate with me. It's not worth losing my clients due to their incompetence. I'm out. read more

I wish I had been recommended any service other than netpay two years ago. For the past two years I used the company they missed payroll dates, over-withheld for my 5+ employees and then refused to answer emails. Also, I'd had nearly 10 payroll experts in that time. Why didn't I switch before? 1. I had no idea how bad it was and 2. it was the last thing on my list I had time to worry about. Today, now that I've switched services, I find out that they had been double withholding for FICA which I never ever asked for. This means I paid my employees in addition to my businesses owed taxes - over $16,000 excessively in 2014. My new payroll expert has dealt with numerous defected netpay clients and has said numerous times that it is the most rinky-dink, unprofessional organization she's ever had to deal with. Do yourself a favor, use anyone other than this company. Trusting them with something so important will cost you. read more

We own a family business and Netpay is our payroll company. Fernando has been our payroll guy. He is very efficient. He answered our most complicated questions about taxes and help us with any doubt that we may have. We did have a couple misunderstandings but we always work it out . It is easy to work with them. They are trustworthy and very responsible. Recently Fernando was promoted and Larissa has been helping us. She is very friendly and efficient too. We appreciate very much when she call us every Wednesday to check if we want to run payroll . Whenever we have something more complex she always team up with Fernando to help us out. I used NetPay for several years while employing a live-in nanny. I didn't have problems until the last year or so. First problems were related to not receiving documents in their automated distribution system. Payroll was being processed but I wasn't getting the documents and had no way of knowing what I owed my nanny. The other problems came after I ended employment with the nanny and had a poor experience closing out my account with netpay. I arranged with my account manager to have the employer accounts closed with the state/fed agencies but this was not done. I began receiving notices of delinquency from the state and after repeatedly contacting my Netpay account manager, she advised that this would be taken care of and didn't know why it wasn't done. I waited. Then I received additional notices of delinquency from the state. I attempted to contact the Netpay account manager again and she has yet to respond to my emails. This carried on between January and October, leaving me to contact the state agency directly where they advised that nothing was previously done to close the account and they talked me through the forms to do it myself. I paid Netpay to perform a job I didn't have time to deal with, but in the end I had to do it anyway. I don't know if the problem is a technical glitch, or an honest mistake, albeit a repeated one, but since I don't get responses to my emails, I only know the outcome. I would not recommend Netpay based on my experience. I'm glad others aren't experiencing the same problems I have. Maybe Netpay is great for business but not for individual employers who aren't important accounts for their revenue. read more

I had some really bad experiences with payroll companies in the past until a friend of mine told me about Netpay. My first experience was with the Sales Person, Susan Laks was great. She sat down with me and spent over an hour listening to all of the mistakes we've had and why our payroll needed a little hand-holding. I'm not an expert when it comes to these things, so I really needed someone to help me through it all. Since my first payroll two months ago, everyone at Netpay has been really good. Everything Susan promised was exactly what has happened. I have my own payroll specialist that calls me when it's time to run checks. If I want I can run payroll on line, I can. And they showed me how to check the payroll before we run it to cut down on mistakes. Such a good service. I love it! The crazy thing is, they're less expensive too. read more

After several problems with ADP, my CPA told me to meet with Netpay. So happy I did! I have my own payroll person that I speak to every time and she's great. Every time I run payroll with Charyl she helps me through the process and makes it easy. The service is so much better, it's like night and day from ADP. I used these guys to run payroll for a very small company. While I would say the service was adequate, they started charging for a data cd that we didn't want. Their official line is that they would refund the service charge of the data cd for anyone that didn't want it, but after placing 4 phone calls over 3 months, they had yet to credit my account. Granted, the Data CD was only a $30 charge, but I am no longer a customer. read more

DO NOT USE NETPAY!!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. Not only did they set up our account incorrectly (they were withdrawing taxes 2x from the employer! This mistake alone cost our company $14,000) but they missed payroll dates and were completely unresponsive when we called to try and resolve issues. Our company contacts changed on a monthly basis and now, since we have switched (to Accountants Payroll Service, who are AMAZING, btw) they have cut off our online access to our previous statements and are charging us to retrieve them. Netpay has made my life so much easier. If you've ever had problems with payroll, you know, when employees don't get paid correctly it's a nightmare. I moved from ADP to Netpay because I was sick of all the mistakes. I'm sure Netpay isn't perfect, but so far, they are a much better service than ADP. Just calling them is way easier. Calling ADP sucked. Also, Netpay gave me a free employee handbook and a free on-line payroll option. They handle my workers comp too. Best of all, they are way cheaper than ADP. Can't say it enough. I finally found a really good payroll company! I tried ADP, too many mistakes. Then I tried Paychex, it was even worse. My CPA asked me to meet with Netpay and right away I could tell they were different. The Sales Associate went over how they were going to handle the transition and it all went very smoothly just like she said. They assigned me to one person so I speak to Jana every time I call in. I love that. She knows me and understands what we do with our payroll. It seems simple but just the fact that I don't have to explain everything to a different person each payroll is a big deal to me. Netpay sucks ass. I have a small business with three employees. I was actually with them for years because the payroll rep handling my account was awesome. Then that person left and they basically tossed my account around amongst inexperienced and overwhelmed payroll reps. Each time they changed payroll reps on me, I would not be notified. AT times, no one at Netpay would know who was handling my account. So they would miss payroll (either not contact me to verify OR just completely forget to run it at the end of a pay period). So my employees are left wondering why direct deposit of pay did not occur that week. They would also mess up proper filing with EDT or payroll taxes with the IRS. The IRS was chasing me for a couple of years for misfiled paperwork. I had to go through multiple reps over there before someone was able to address the issue. So I terminated my service with them and told them to shut down my account. They send an obligatory apology and request for another chance. I politely decline. Yet two months after termination, they are still debiting their monthly minimum fee from my account. Just absolute INCOMPETENCE. read more

Worst payroll company ever - don't be fooled. They are dishonest and downright fraudulent in their practices. They've cost us thousands of dollars in fees to fix the messes they made. If you're a small business on a budget, don't skimp by hiring Netpay. Just work out a good price with one of the major companies and you'll be far better off. read more
