It is very easy to get distracted with a whole building dedicated to amenities containing a pool room, chill out lounge and the canteen. The facilities within the college are generally good, the library is slightly on the small side considering the amount of students that attend. Another problem is the compulsory A level general studies, it wastes valuable time that could be spent on other subjects. Overall if you are willing to work hard and want good quality teaching then this is the place for you.

From a small and modest secondary school this educational establishment has grown to an excellent college which has attracted more and more pupils and built a state of the art sports centre on site. One of the reasons I admire Selly Park Technology College so much is the multi cultural nature of its pupils. Birmingham is a very diverse city and this school recognises that by meeting the individual needs of pupils from all manner of cultural and racial backgrounds. This school sets an example in tolerance of others and it is an example I hope to see every school in the country follow. To go back to the subject of the sports hall it is fair to say it has become something of a hub for the local community. There are various sports classes and meetings which take place there ensuring the school not only serves its pupils wonderfully well but the people of Selly Park too.
