Is there such a thing as a great DMV when you're there to pay the state and county fees and taxes…read morethat don't really ever make sense most of the time? So setting aside that most people would rather go see a dentist than go to the DMV let's just say this is one of the better ones. And it's all about the staff. I've lived in a bunch of states, so I've experienced a lot of mostly horribly run DMVs with angry, miserable, zombie workers. There is nothing fancy here, in fact, it's a rather plain office in a somewhat rundown area. But what makes it good is the great staff. Since I have to come in here every year, the 6-8 times I've been in have all been, well pleasant. The staff is patient, friendly, and fast. They up, look you in the face, smile, and treat you like a person. I guess that's all most of us want. Now could someone explain why MO requires you to pay property taxes on top of all the fees every year? Most states only charge a sales tax once and registration fees every year after that. No property taxes, its not a house!

My certified package didn't get delivered to the person I sent it to in Webb City, and now for some reason it is sitting in Colorado Springs, CO instead of being returned to me (in Joplin) as per policy. I'm going to actually have to leave my house, sick, and go talk to the people at the post office and hope that they can bring my package with it's $50 in it. I hate dealing with this agency!!! You think postal workers go postal? The public that has to deal with this sh*t can go postal too. (That said, I'm not threatening anyone but I do hate USPS.) Your robo caller sh*t IS USELESS!!! Publish your f*cking phone number and help people out.

I remember Joplin being a pit stop for my family driving from Kansas City to Coffeyville!!! Joplin's history is the famous Route 66 and the outlaws Bonnie and Clyde!! There were zinc and lead mining back in the day as well! Fast forward to May 22, 2011, Joplin had a devastating EF-5 Tornado that went thru their town. They made headlines on their coming together and rebuilding their community. For a small town, it has many restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, shopping, hardware stores, churches, and much more. It's a short drive to Springfield for another option! I've enjoyed my visit! The people are very friendly. The town is beautiful.

He arranged for me to play my first concert in the city and it seems like the whole town showed up. Afterwards I spent part of the night canoodling with a beautiful spectacular girl who I still think about to this day. It was one of those magical nights and I have never forgotten it. Not long after my visit my friend passed away. It's very confusing and complicated but it was ruled a suicide. It was pretty grisly and horrible. I still have good friends that live here but there is a shadow over the town and my heart ever since. Then a couple of months later a devastating tornado wiped out a huge portion of the town and caused many casualties. There will always be a special place in my heart for Joplin and someday I look forward to my return.
