0 stars. Went in today for a new battery for my Henry London watch, a treasured gift that is valuable to me. The man who served me prized open the back of my watch, fiddled about with a new battery, shoved it in watch and then tried to get the back on again. He spent at least 10 minutes pressing down on the watch and squeezing it to try and get it back together. He asked me if it was expensive (I didn't purchase it myself but it's not cheap) and then proceeded to press down on the back. He then said, because it has a dome face, he can't get the back on and I have to go to a jeweller's instead. After all that, he charged me £5 for the battery and left my watch in two pieces.
I received no apology, no explanation, and no refund. I can't understand why he would bother taking the back off my watch if he already knew it couldn't be reapplied in the shop. I couldn't be more disappointed in a local shop. I have now taken my watch to a more respectable watchmaker who said the man at Neil's could have cracked or damaged the face of my watch if he continued pressing the back. It's now costing more than ever, just to get a new battery for a Henry London Richmond watch.
I will NEVER go back here! read more
