I went back and picked up a six of Summit pale ale, a six of 16 oz domestic, and my new baby, a Fosters 24oz "oil can". The selection is by no means stellar ala MInotti' s or Simone' s, but pretty good for a hole in the wall corner store. Dude checks my ID because i'm riding a bike, hauling a Sierra Club backpack(no longer a member, just wanted the backpack) and i have great skin for my 30ish years. I leave and cross Lorain. Dude chases me across a busy street at rush hour to check my ID again! He says " You look in my store all suspicious, then you come back on bike ...mumble...you're not buying this for kids are you?...mumble...you don't look this age...i have to make sure.." Hey, you got to hand it to this guy. He braved traffic to make sure underage drinking was not happening. But it shows the state of our society when a 14 yr old can steal a car and roll up to a store and buy booze. But if you roll up on a skateboard or maybe a pogo stick, you seem suspicious.
