I didn't shop there but noticed that it LACKS customer service. I know and understand every store has its own rules. The sign says Max occupancy 50%. Anyway, after standing outside for 10 minutes and a single person in front of us waiting in line, 4 people come out and then the 1 person goes in. We then wait a little longer before walking in the store. At this 1 given time there are 4 employees and 3 customers total. So, my girls and I walk in and a blonde employee tells me to wait outside and they'll come get us. I said, we've been waiting and no one told us to wait or gave us a courtesy to tell us to wait outside. If anything WE were being courteous by waiting outside without being asked. Again, I told her 4 people had just walked out and ONLY 1 walked in. I don't understand why my group couldn't go in because then that would have totaled a total of 4 going in. I just bought some stuff last week at the Caesar's palace nectar. But I won't shop here anymore. Edit: I passed by not even 10 minutes later and counted more than 8 customers in the store. My husband and I randomly came across this place while visiting universal studios and going down universal city walk. We decided to do some shopping and wanted to see what this place was about. Come to find out it's a fun bath store! Their bath treats literally look like treats. Some were smoothies, cupcakes, other pastries! It was super cute. They had a few things where you could make your own scent! They had lotions and cask mask that you could customize! It was super fun to make the scents we wanted and basing it off what the benefits are from the type of ingredient we were adding. We had so much stuff and were flying that we ended up getting everything shipped to us! It came about a week & a half later which wasn't surprising since it probably isn't their first priority as a store and not the warehouse. Scam for your money. Avoid and try much cheaper options! Their salesmen will tell your if deals such as buy two get two free etc but all in all this will still cost you a huge chunk of change for anything. Our bag that the product came in ripped and all the contents spilled everywhere. We live quite far from here so tried to contact them via phone for any type of refund but no one ever reached back to us. No one ever picks up either. We were here yesterday and ready to drop some money on bath treats for my daughter. The service was not what we expected at all. Staff seemed annoyed to answer our questions which discouraged us from buying more. I wanted a gift box to fill and was given a dirty damaged box and told I'd have to pay $8 for this damaged box. It was pretty unbelievable. I would have easily purchased a lot more if the service was better and they offered gift boxes that were not old and stained. To be very honest, the staff need more customer service training. I'm an experienced shopper who knows good service and this place was a huge disappointment. I initially thought this place was a dessert store. This store is beautifully designed and thought of. This store is located in the Universal City Walk. It has the most adorable assortments of Bath treats. Some are cupcakes, macarons, ice cream, cakes, and so many more dessert like bath treats. Brian was great. From the moment my hubby and I walked in, he had asked us questions about what type of smells we like, let us know that you can make your own oil or perfume, choose all types of bubbly soaps, sand like soaps, bath bombs, and demonstrated one of their products using our hands. Brian informed us of what sales they have right now and the cute boxes and wrappings they do to anything you purchase. Everything they have makes a great gift to all of any age. I think the store is very cute and would be a good place for baby/bridal shower favors. With that said, it is a little pricey but keep in mind, they are paying high rent to be at City Walk. Obviously, they are not paying the employees well because they do hover over you to make a purchase and do try to persuade you to buy even more. I dropped almost $50 there and they were still trying to get me spend more. It is a turn off. I love good customer service but I don't like people hovering over me. Let me come to you. I am a sucker for skin products and after getting a glimpse of the famous "donut wall" I had to check it out. I was greeted by Matthew who was very charming as he explained to us Nectar's message and brand. He let me sample anything I wanted and as we found out we had similar scent profiles I was very glad to have him assisting me. I learned that there was a custom scent bar where you could create your own scented lotion. This really caught my eye as I am very interested in custom cosmetics! There were multiple tantalizing options and Matt was very smart in helping guide me through the process. I ended up mixing italian blood orange and hibiscus flower oils and it smells subtle and invigorating, perfect for a morning lotion! I also bought the fruit smoothie and citrus sugar scrubs as they had the most wonderful scents and they are less likely to create microtears than walnut scrubs, plus they don't create plastic waste dow the drain like microbeads do. I was thrilled to find this place while in LA. My BFF and I always exchange souvenirs from our travels, and we're also both obsessed with bath and body care treats. We're always looking for new places that sell bath bombs/sugar scrub/lotions, etc., but they're difficult to come by. 4 stars for the products but 3 stars overall for my experiences. My mom and I walked in to see what this store was. It's extremely eye catching and unique as all the products are made to look like desserts. It's amazing! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by an employee. She was very nice and let us know about a few sales going on. When we walked in, there was no intent to buy anything. We wanted to look around and see all the cool products and if there happened to be something we liked then sure we'll buy it. The employee hovered us the ENTIRE time. It started to give me a lot of anxiety because I couldn't just look around and smell things without her coming up every 5 seconds telling me that this was on sale and so were these and I could come over and try this thing next! It was SO overwhelming! She did have us try the body scrubs which I did enjoy. She showed us the display and let us know that they were on sale. Instead of letting us browse and think about it, she stood there watching us. I felt so pressured to buy something. I've worked in retail and I know how to be a salesperson but you should never pressure and make your guests feel uncomfortable. Sure a sale is a sale but now you're left with this review. I ended up buying one body scrub(not doing the sale) because I did enjoy it and needed more at home. I have been very pleased with the results from it. That being said, I went in one more time during this trip(a different day) with my friend and we were not greeted or approached and walked back out after 5 minutes. He gave the three of us samples of their most popular products, and he was so so funny and personable. He brightened my day, and I know that he did to my friends as well. Such an awesome guy, and a super great salesman, too. I waited to do a review on the actual products (my friends and I bought the body scrubs) until I got home and used them, and WHOA. The products are cute and great gifts. The problem lies with how the store is run. Pushy sales. When you ask what the prices are you get a range. OK, so I picked things out not knowing the price. Got to the counter and then was told, you can't buy one bath bomb. They pull out a bag and said you have to buy 4. Ok, oh and I can't buy just one donut soap... I have to buy three. No thank you. The pricing should be displayed! It is a horrible upsell environment. I purchase things based on price but can't learn the price or the packaging or the promo until I get to the counter. WHAT?!?!? That is not a trust worthy store. I kindly just bought what I needed and put back a couple items I just liked. Sure I paid more for the item because I didn't fall for the buy 2 get one free. I don't care. I did not like their tactics. The kicker is that they then turn the iPad around and ask for a tip. So I am suppose to tip you for being pushy, trying to upsell me on everything, not telling me about each promotion when I asked for pricing? You did not provide me with service. You tried to get me to buy things I did not want and tried to get me to spend more money. I ALWAYS tip... this time I did not. The girl smirked but I don't care. Retail gets commission NOT tips! Employees don't get paid much it's not the employees fault blame the management they are the reason why the employees are hovering and always have to keep asking if the customer needs a tray or assistance.
