When my husband couldn't get any answers (not one he liked or didnt like, just any)..... while he waited for calls while in severe pain...... and again waiting a month for something that was never going to happen (they could have just told him that it wasnt going to happen)...... waiting a week for a even a call on a different issue..... he found himself making an appt to go to a different surgeon just to get help. He was pretty much told since he was getting a 2nd opinion he was no longer a patient with Smith. The day he saw the other Dr, he was sent to a pain specialist and for an injection. The first day, the first visit. The injection and pain specialist appointment was made for the SAME DAY!!! :O I think his pain was bad, huh? I dont know why this didnt happen sooner. Surgery was 1/2 year earlier. He needs another surgery likely.

There has been a few times that I've left messages on the voicemail and someone actually calls me back! That's more than I can say for other medical offices in the area. The lead time to get an appointment is about the same as other doctors, but that's to be expected. I usually ask if there is a cancelation list and that sometimes helps. The doctor took the time to listen to my concerns/symptoms and throughly explained what the possible causes were and what we needed to do moving forward.

I've been seeing the Dr Kristl over probably 6 years now, and Candi for a year or so, and I've never been more humiliated in my entire life. I've had migraines since 2014, and I was hoping for answers, but I was totally wrong about either practitioners... My last visit we had a plan, that we would continue the nerve blocks and I would be seen at IU neurology to see if they can find something, come up with a game plan and then Candi take over. Boy was I wrong. Walked into the office this morning for my nerve block, to find out I don't have an appt. Apparently they dismissed me as a patient without me knowing, they "said" they sent out a letter certified but I never received it and they even acknowledged that the letter has not received a signature yet. Doctors have no care in the world bcuz they think they are God's, even tho we hire them. The office staff had no care.. if the office staff actually cared they would of looked into it more, i would of had a phone call or an appt saying we are no longer going to be handling your care. Ann was the only best part of that practice, she actually cared, so thank you Ann for always going above and beyond for me. Wait times at Michiana neurologic can be anywher between 30mins and 2 hrs to be seen. The staff have their thumbs up their butts and noses in the air, and lots of other people have said

He did a procedure that killed the disc in my lumbar region. It resulted in me having an L5 - S1 fusion. Lost my job and am on permanent disability. His knowledge from being a neurologist is ok. Because, his hands shake so much, he should have retired.
