Definitely found the right one! This was a magical experience. The hotel is beautiful, and just screams luxury. I checked in early, because I wanted to have some extra time in the wet areas, and not feel rushed. Everyone was friendly, and I was greeted with a robe, flip flops, and a locker to place my items. The pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, and cold plunge were all fantastic additions to prepare me for my massage. The massage was wonderful (it was a guy, which at first made me nervous but turned out great), and I left feeling completely relaxed. I did mine in the evening, which was perfect because I was able to shower and go straight to bed! My only complaint would be that it was quite warm in there, so I did sweat, but who doesn't want all the toxins out of your body?! Especially after all the lovely wine and mead on my vacation! No pics as cameras are not allowed!

We got there an hour early to enjoy the myriad of features they had before the massage. In the women's only locker there was a cold plunge, waterfall shower, and sauna. In the co-ed shared space there was a small indoor pool, a room which seemed like a giant jacuzzi, and a steam room. After using all the amenities, we had a wonderful 90 minute Swedish Massage upstairs in their treatment rooms. Fantastic massage and a must while in Stockholm.

The massages take place in small curtained off areas, with mats on the floor, traditional Thai style. It's easy to call ahead and make an appointment with their kind receptionist. I highly recommend the Thai massage - it's just 495 sek and is super relaxing. If you've never had a Thai massage before, you might be a little surprised by it - you'll be fully clothed for the massage, in loose fitting clothing provided by the spa, and the masseuse will likely walk on your back, push on pressure points, and help you stretch your muscles extensively. If you're looking for a more "normal" massage, the oil massage is great, and just 595 sek. And if you're feeling adventurous and wanting to try the Thai massage a bit, they offer a mix massage as well.

If it does't open, don't give up, keep pushing :) The lady sitting there in the evenings is very friendly and helpful, ready to explain about several treatments they have. I've learned that she is not the owner though. The local itself is not fresh fresh but fresh enough to be comfortable. The only drawback is that there is no changing room, not critical for saltroom itself but I think about yoga for example, still good enough to give them a 5. They have two rooms, salt & ljus room, with different types of services, yoga & massage in salt room,.... Saturday mornings they have a special event for children in the salt room. I've just used the salt room and I am very satisfied. They are open on Saturdays and until 20:00 for some weed days which makes it very convenient as an after work plan. I'm no expert on the health related benefits of this treatment but in practice, it helped my asthma a lot. I've heard and tested saltroom almost a year ago but just couple of times and it was not my asthma peak period either. This year I went there in the most difficult period and it really helped. To be honest, I'm normally skeptical but The immediate effect surprised me. The other favorite thing about this room is that it is a silent room, no phone allowed, just lay down and listen to the music and keep your eyes closed and take deep breaths, not sure about you but I don't do these things all together so often :D For me, I will keep this treatment as a routine. There's a gym with quite a few machines packed in and some free space, a cardio room, and then a studio for classes and etc -- and of course the lockers with a sauna for each sex and the main pool where you can lounge around. So it's pretty basic. I was expecting some more hot pools and maybe more places to just relax but that was it. The salmon salad was freaking amazing. I mean it's just from a plastic container and then they add some fresh ingredients but it was so good for a very fair price, I think 105 or so. I almost got two of them. The staff really kind of brought the place down for me. I had never done the whole spa thing and clearly never been to Sturabadet and I was asking a bunch of questions but I got no enthusiasm for the establishment from the front desk and no real human connection. Next the salsa teacher while all well and good at leading the class wasn't really adding any personality to the experience, and when I checked out for the day the lady was also a bit rude. The massage table wasn't too great either. The padding on the head rest was really thin and it actually took away from the relaxation because I could feel the metal of the head rest against my forehead. Pretty poor. Despite having no idea what you are actually supposed to do at the spa, it was super relaxing and I definitely enjoyed myself there. Would I come back? Not sure. I would probably try the one in the center of town before coming back here.

Selma City Spa offers a wide variety of treatments, (facial, body and luxury treatments) as well as gym, spa and sauna. The perfect place to disconnect from that busy schedule for a while and relax. There is a small café where they serve food and smoothies, most of it healthy and fresh meals like salads and snacks. We were lucky enough to go there on a sunny day so we were able to enjoy the day to the fullest, the pool high above the rooftop and the amazing view was the highlight of they experience! The one thing missing though is the jacuzzi which I was really looking forward to *sadface* Otherwise I strongly recommend it!
