Everyone was very warm and understanding. The doctors were very patient and listened. The nurses were the same. I actually had a favorite nurse, Ani. I had to stay for a couple of days so I did see a rotation of staff, Very happy with the way I was treated. Unfortunately after a couple of weeks I had to return for more care. I was greeted like an old friend. Gold Beach Hospital has what we refer to as 1950 small town charm.

They made mistake after mistake from first appointment setting to final billing. Errors were made with prescriptions from the start and clarification was necessary every time I had to call for refills. They didn't follow through with obtaining records from previous physicians and didn't do blood tests to compare to those medical records even if they had them. Trying to reach Nova/BesMed on the phone was nearly impossible, and once able to get through one is put on hold for over five minutes. Changing their name to BestMed is perhaps the biggest mistake of all; they are far from the best.
