She did, however, perform an inappropriate, painful exam by grabbing my leg and attempting to place it where she wanted it, stating, "see, you have a great range of motion." * The examiner did not perform appropriate diagnostic imaging to verify the condition. * The examiner did not report the painful limited range of motion. This examiner's unprofessionalism and lack of attention to detail caused me not to obtain service connection for conditions that were clearly stated in my STR. Furthermore, her inappropriate examination and inadequate documentation of my worsening symptoms caused me not to get a rating increase.

The front desk ladies were asking questions and making it feel like they were trying to diagnose the issue themselves, only to suggest going somewhere else or provide excuses as to why you shouldn't be seen there. Medical concerns should be handled by the actual medical staff, not decided before you even make it past check-in. On top of that, I was told there was apparently a "4 hour wait," which felt more like a way to discourage people from staying rather than trying to assist patients. I understand urgent cares get busy, but communication, professionalism, and showing concern for patients goes a long way. People come to urgent care because they need help, not to feel like an inconvenience the second they walk through the door. Very disappointing experience and I hope management addresses how patients are treated at the front desk.

The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. They quickly took my insurance info and identification while I began filling out the new patient paperwork. I loved that while thorough, the new patient paperwork wasn't like a book. I was able to complete if before being called to the back (which was rather quickly). Dr. Reid and the PA that took my vitals were both very courteous, professional, and timely yet thorough. Dr. Reid took her time to get to know me as a patient and paid close attention to my family history. After taking her time to complete my physical, she sent me to the lab for blood work, and they were just as efficient. I really liked this office and will be making Dr. Reid my new primary care physician.

Then she gave me the number to a psychiatrist that has a very long wait list to be seen by new patients, which I'm pretty sure she googled for it, and told me I should go on anti depressants. She looked like a very new doctor, but even so, google is not the answer to everything, if I'm advised not to google and self diagnose my symptoms, then I'd like a doctor and/or nurse who can make the educated diagnosis and suggestion of treatment. The wait time is significant enough that I believe I will be changing urgent care facilities. I have used Patient First since I moved to the area five years ago, but I shouldn't have to wait for an hour or two to see a physician or PA at an urgent care that doesn't have a full waiting room. I understand that sometimes there is a rush. That was not the case the last two times I have been in. Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed working with Patient First. The facility itself is great and very clean. The staff are friendly and caring. The doctors and PAs have always treated me with respect and been very helpful. But with all the competition there is for urgent care facilities in the area I think I can do better elsewhere. I am not sure what causes this facility to take so long. There seem to be enough staff to get people registered and enough nurses to take a history, BP, weight, etc. Perhaps the bottle neck occurs at the number of doctors staffed at any one time. I am sure an administrator could figure it out in ten minutes if they tried. Maybe now that they know they are losing business as a result of under staffing they will make changes. I know it is quickly becoming the reputation of the franchise. Sorry, again I think it is a great facility and I am pleased with everything but sitting in an exam room for over an hour for a 5-10 minute exam.
