Öland is a fascinating island. The landscape changes every few miles. The south is a complete different place than the north. It's rural, vast and rugged...and pretty flat.
It's an amazing place and home to lots of animals (most of them being birds down here).
It's easy accessible by the main road. Parking is plenty....the lot is really huge and free of charge. There's no entrance fee as well.
Besides the landscape there's also a wonderful lighthouse, a restaurant, a visitors centre and some shops. Some bathrooms as well.
The most southern tip is off limits for dogs though.
There are several walking trails leading around the south. Some right through a cow pasture.
This Naturum is definitely a nice place to be and to take a walk. read more
