Unlike other stores on the main drag, this shop was incredibly well organized and allowed the eye room to breathe with pockets of displays amidst wide open space. Pricing was comparable to what we'd find elsewhere and the folks behind the counter were lovely to make small talk with. Congrats on your current reno, and best wishes for 20 more years!

It was my daughter's ninth birthday and I was excited to get her a custom charm necklace. They were both very rude to us and then asked how much we could spend on a necklace. If it wasn't my daughters birthday I would have walked out of the shop. On top of that, there are passive aggressive notes all over the store now. "DO NOT TOUCH" " Do not try on unless you are buying" etc. Seems like they need a lesson in customer service. I'm sad because I used to go there all the time and recommend it to other people.

There is an entire wall dedicated to Melissa & Doug toys and puzzles, along with lots of books, handfuls of stuffed animals, and plenty of other toys to enchant the kiddos. Pricing was relatively on point and I was most impressed with the friendly employee who was more than happy to give us direction and suggestions regarding our dinner options that evening. Next time I'm in the area I'm going to do my due diligence and peruse the front of the store for a little something for myself. Girlfriend Gabby has the gift scenario on lockdown, so if you find yourself scrambling for *something* for **someone** while in downtown Galena, definitely stop on by.

I've only seen the brand at one shop in Chicago (though I'm not constantly looking for it), and that shop only had the redwoods scent I think. Evan Healy is another brand that they have, which I have never tried but have heard about for years. They also sell scarves, blankets, jewelry, candles, and so on. They had some really delicious salted caramels when I was in so I bought a few of the individual pieces. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in Galena! Shopkeepers are really friendly too.
