took my two fur babies here for a spa day. Unlike humans I don't think they like it nearly as much. However, we were super happy with their spa experience when they were done. My cat is not the nicest, but melted in Ashley's arms, and sat super still while he got his Paw-deicure.  My dog was a little hesitant to go into the grooming room, but as soon as Ashley gave her a special treat, she too was puddy hands. I was so impressed how shiny her coat was, and how good she smelled afterwards. My furry kids will return. read more

I can't believe I have never written a review- we LOVE this place! They have a ton of variety of dog food/ treats, and will even give you a sample if something catches your eye. Every staff person I have talked to is very friendly, and pretty knowledgeable about their products. We've also been going to the groomer there for years and have always loved the results. They don't "poodle" my doodle, and give him a teddy bear cut that makes all the other puppers do a double-take. Favorite treat there is vita- essentials duck nibbles- my dog can't get enough of them. read more

Call me crazy but part of taking my dogs into a pet store is the experience. This place has a decent selection of treats and comparable pricing to other places. I've been in a few times now. The service person on the floor looked like they would rather do anything else than welcome me or give my two English bull dogs attention. It just seems like if you're going to work in a small boutique pet store where you might have contact with animals that you actually LIKE animals. I am writing this review entirely for the grooming department. This store is about a million and a half miles from my house, but it came recommended by someone in my husky facebook group I'm in, and also all the dog groomers around where I live (Hillsboro) were either super weird and rude or just would never answer their phones....?? So I made an appointment here with Ashley (I believe that's what her name was). I recently moved up to this area and had been taking my shy husky to the same girl at the Nature's Pet in Medford for a few years, and he LOVED her, and she is so nice to her clients and their dogs. I have heard horror stories about people switching groomers and getting mean ones, and also groomers shaving huskies, which I would absolutely destroy someone over. I just made it clear to her what I wanted, and told her he's really gross it's been a few months since he's had a bath, needs a really good deep clean and brush out because it's the time of year for his undercoat to come out, and a paw shave so he doesn't slide around so much on floors. She did SUCH a fantastic job! He was SO SO beautiful and the brush out might have been better than his old groomer, because back then when I would pick him up he'd still shed a bunch of loose hairs for a day so I would still have to brush him more at home. Ashley probably got a pound of hair out of just his tail! He was (and is still) SO soft like I've never felt before! His paw pads looked so good too, and his nails were super short just how I prefer. Overall super amazing job. I was also undercharged by mistake, because I paid when I dropped him off and the girl at the counter charged me a basic for a husky, but when I picked him up she said don't worry about the undercharge but for deshedding and nail grind, it's actually XX$. Will definitely bring him back here to her, despite the store being so far away from my house! As for the store, it's a very nice, well organized little shop. Not sure about the product knowledge of the employees, as nobody asked me if I needed any help after walking around for almost 10 minutes looking at stuff. We shop here but have also had our dog groomed here. We came here and bought food due to my dogs crazy allergies. Come to find out they have allergy testing you can by there. This is a great alternative to the vets costly test but its not as accurate. This test gave us a great start on trying to control the dogs allergies. The employees there spent a hour flipping over ever bag with us seeing what was lesser evil. Service is great there and products are excellent. Grooming good there but they do not cage dogs so they roam in the grooming area. If your dog is not friendly with other dogs I do not recommend. read more

Ashley! No idea how you did it but our dog Blessing had the best grooming she's ever had! We've never had that much of a difference in shedding, even her coloring is different with all that loose hair removed. When you walk into a room now you don't even smell dog you smell the shampoo (even days later) which is spectacular. Also, you did such a great job on her nails and pads, she doesn't slip around as much. You have earned a customer for life :) Thank you! read more

They are always so friendly and helpful. Got our puppy Maverick all groomed up here for his first birthday and they did a great job. 2.5 hours @ $50 and the gal was so sweet. She bought him a birthday treat with her own money. Such good people. We regularly get our dogs nails trimmed and they are quick and reasonable. read more

This review is for the grooming department. I brought my pug for the first time during phase 1 reopening. I am very disappointed I tipped $10 for $35 grooming fee. I noticed that my dog's ears are filthy, I can tell it was not cleaned at all. Also, she didn't get her glands expressed because usually after this is done my dog looked happy and did not immediately scoot. I brought her to another groomer and sure enough the person said the glands were full! I certainly will not return or recommend this vendor. read more

Let me start by saying that every time I go in everyone is super great and helpful. When I had questions about certain types of food, they helped me out, and they're more than happy to special order something for you if you can't find it in the store. I just moved out of Oregon, and I'm very disappointed by the lack of stores like this. I am super impressed with the grooming staff! Those girls made my little princess fierce with this wonderful lion's cut! I've tried this once before at another doggie salon and was terribly disappointed. With fear in my soul I decided to give it one more try. I used to go to Franco's and Vancouver Washington. But lately they are way too busy for me to make it over there early in the morning to get her in. They are usually not taking any more dogs after certain time. This was the best decision I made to try and do place nature's pet not only has a great stuff on the outside in the store. They have an amazing grooming staff is well. I think this chain of pet stores really depends on the individual store. I've been to the one in Eugene, and that store was sub par. This store, however, is totally different. I love the lady who I think owns this particular store, and the staff are always friendly. I also appreciate the honesty of some of the staff I've interacted with. For example, when a particular staff member could not answer my question, they went to get another staff member to help me. I much prefer this over trying to sell me something that they know nothing about. This is one of my regular go-to pet stores for my cats' food. They also have a good selection of good dog food, and a fridge/freezer for some raw brands (I'm not sure how good that selection is though). They also have a frequent buyer program (for the dry food, at least), where they keep your name on file and give you the 11th bag for free or something like that. It should be noted that this store caters to mostly dogs and cats. If you're looking for cat collars or cat toys, their selection isn't that great. Ashley is the reason we come into Nature's Pet! Her grooming skills are the best and we never leave disappointed! She knows exactly what we want but best of all, we can tell she loves dogs and will care for them while they are getting groomed. I love that we don't have to drop off our dog for the whole day, but appointments are set and we can pick up right when she is finished. No assembly line operation here. We have always had dogs that required grooming and several years ago, our old groomer retired and so we had to go through a few unfortunate learning experiences before finding Ashley at Nature's Pet. My first time having my dogs groomed here (Shih Tzus) because this salon is a lot closer to my home than where I usually take them - they actually charged more - a lot more, and charged $75 for one of them, solely because she weighs more (she's a shih tzu mix) than the purebred, for whom they charged $65. And they didn't even put bows on them!! I am used to paying about $60 for each one!! And they both get bows above their ears!! The purebred is 16 lbs., the mix is 22 lbs!! Also, they didn't reattach the bigger one's harness correctly, and the entire harness slipped off her head when I took them home and led them up my walkway to my front door!! She's a runner, too!! Luckily, she was apparently so glad to come home she didn't run away when her harness slipped off!! If she slips out the front door of my condo, she always comes back within 10-15 minutes. She is a former stray, a rescue at 2.5 years from my local Petsmart ....I've had her 11 years! They do have good products here, many of them natural, with minimal artificial ingredients. I will not be back. I'm hugely disappointed regarding their grooming prices - I feel ripped off. read more

Recently relocated to the area. I did my research, (yelp, actual calling of places) and I found this spot and thought I would give them a shot. I am so glad I did. First impressions are everything with me and they hit it out of the park. I could tell they actually care and have passion for pets and grooming. The atmosphere was calming with a couple of dogs and a cat walking around. This is an absolutely adorable little pet store. It's tiny, but packed with good products and friendly people. They offer "healthier" pet options like premium and organic foods, organic catnip, vitamins and supplements, bamboo cat perches, and pet furniture. You won't find any Friskies or Tidy Cat or Mighty Dog here; all this stuff is top of the line. They have a huge store cat, a large fluffy block Persian mix, who enjoys lounging around on the piles of dog food bags. They also occasionally have an in store German Shepherd dog, that I think belongs to one of the owners. The service is always friendly and they are very helpful if you go in and want to solve a particular pet ailment or problem. There's always free dog treats on the counter if you bring in your pet and they have samples of the foods available if you want to switch food but aren't sure about dropping $40 a bag before knowing if your pet will eat it. They also just introduced a rewards program where every 11th bag of pet food is free. These are the little things that make this place a thousand times better than your average Petco. Anyone feeding their pet raw will be pleased to know they have two huge freezers full of raw pet food. They also have a lot of information posted all over the store about what pets need nutrient and behavior wise. It's an all around great place to shop and I love coming here! read more

Great store, with a large selection of dog food and treats. I like that they carry our "Limitied Ingredient Diet" food for our golden, as well as the dog bones that go along with them (don't tell Mollie it's the same food!) Cashier was extremely helpful, I actually overheard him helping a lady with cat food while I was looking around. They have the cutest stickers that are the state of oregon with a giant paw print in them, as well as the "Wag more, bark less" ones. Will definitely be back. I fell ill for two weeks and could not groom my Sheltie, Mia. The weather was getting bad, she had elfin feet from long nails and overgrown fur. The Petsmart I went to before (I know, bad idea) was like the evil grandmother parents sent their kids to for daycare. She hated it--she got scared and could not wait to get out of there when I came to pick her up. AND they butchered her coat. Anyone with a Sheltie knows that you do not cut their overcoat, but work on their dense undercoats instead. Petsmart used a furminator on her (Never use a furminator on a double coat breed. Even if you do, never use it on the overcoat). Anyhow, I called and Jessica answered. She was super sweet, empathic and told me how she would groom a sheltie and I was sold. Someone who really understands how to groom a triple-coat dog?! Mia went in the next day and a couple of hours later she was following Jessica around while she groomed another dog in the grooming room. She must have done something right to make my rescue pup love her this much. I'm sold! read more

We love the groomer here!! I have a 6 y.o. Scottish Terrier/Poodle mix who has back problems and fear of grooming after some negative experiences. Miranda (I hope I got her name right!) is an Angel for the dogs she grooms! She honestly cares about the dogs, she knows them as individuals and she does a fantastic job, too! She listened to me, was attentive and accommodating. My dog gets the works with wash, dry, de-matting, modified Schnauzer cut, nails, and ear hair plucking, and the price is right in line with others in the area. Miranda does great work, my dog knows he's handsome when she's done! But best of all is that my dog isn't afraid of getting groomed anymore. read more

They always have our favorite Six Fish and Regional Red Orijin dog food in stock in various sizes at a decent price and have a great selection of top quality, healthy food and treats for dogs and cats. They even had a great cranberry supplement we bought for our senior who has bladder stones. Great shampoos and the like as well. They have pretty awesome hours for a pet boutique.. I mean the one we used to go to in California closed at 4 on Saturdays. So 7:00 close on a Saturday is awesome!.. but my silly husband forgot they closed earlier on Saturday nights and just called right before close to see if they'd stay 5 minutes late so our bassets could have breakfast tomorrow morning, and they waited for him to get there!! Deedee is very shy and often scared of groomers. The groomer here is incredible. Not only does Deedee look incredible but she's relaxed and completely calm. She is expertly groomed and incredibly well manicured. This along with an incredible staff of experts well versed in pet care products makes this location the place to go. I have been going to Nature's Pet in Murrayhill for over 4.5 years. I buy the most expensive dog food for three dogs and used their grooming services. I liked them very much for a few years. Things began going sideways when cov id hit and I could never go in their store. It was frustrating to have to order in advance so I developed a relationship with Mud Bay where everyone was there to serve and they kept very high standards during co=vid as well but at least people could go in the store to find what they wanted. At Nature's Pet murray hills they're focussed on unloading boxes and stocking instead of helping customers. The service has gone so far down hill, it's like going to walmart except it has much higher prices. The past few times I've gone in have been frustrating and I've not felt like they cared about my business. They never give a reminder notice of any kind about a grooming appointment and then when I was late for an appointment and I apologized and told the groomer I had called to say I would be late and see if I should still come in, but no one answered . The groomer who is a newer one, was insolent and asked me for my phone number so she could look up that I called, since she initially denied that I couldn't reach her. Then when she saw my number on her cell phone she told me I didn't call soon enough - the point is - that's no way to treat a customer. They no longer had time to get my dogs in for their pedi but she could have just said. "I'm sorry we're just too booked now, but I'll gladly reschedule you. " She didn't say that. It was me who needed to get my doggies nails done, so I rescheduled them. Then at the end of the week I took them in for their pedi and to buy some things. I've always been a good tipper for the groomers as well. Anyway I left the store with my dogs but not with the bag of frozen NW Natural. Come dinner time I realized I didn't have it. I called and was glad to speak with the girl who had checked me out. I told her I'd been coming for over 4 years and my phone number is associated with my account so why didn't she call me. Well she was busy etc and I didn't know her so I figured she didn't know me. So I ran back up to the store to get the frozen food. I said again that I wish someone would have called me. Part of being a regular customer at a store , particularly one with high prices is that people know you and care so they would call or run out if they know you've left your merchandise. Anyway, the blonde young woman who has been there quite a few years, was extremely rude to me. I reinforced again that I have been a long term customer and she should not speak to any customers like she did to me. She had a nasty attitude and as I was leaving with my bag yelled out a slur. So I went back in to tell her she should never treat a customer that way. And what do you suppose happened? She doubled down and never apologized or adjusted her attitude one little bit. So..... by business will all go to Mud Bay now where the team is always helpful. I'll find another groomer because I haven't been that thrilled with the mostly newer team of groomers anyway. This place is run by young women who obviously don't care about keeping a good reputation in the community. I have sent many people to that store but now I'll send them to mud bay at Greenway instead. I will also report this incident to the owner of the franchised store and I will post my complaints on our local neighborhood sites. The team at Mudbay Greenway ( by Whole Foods on Schools') is there to serve and to please and the prices are about the same. read more
