But Sam has a very calming and reassuring nature which immediately made an impression on me. I suffer with tension around my shoulders and neck and also had some pain in my lower calf from a strain I suffered when out running. In addition, I had been experiencing some stiffness and pain in my lower back, which seems to have been instigated by some recent nights sleeping on the sofa ... ... but that's another story ! The Swedish Massage I received was relaxing, invigorating and therapeutic in all these cases. Treatment to my legs and lower back resulted in a dramatic easing of stiffness and aches which had not been shifting in these areas for some time. I was really impressed with how much difference it made. And overall, I was left feeling calm, relaxed and revitalised. I was not sure of what treatment I needed. after a thorough phone consultation, Dr lily suggested that a 90 min acupuncture therapy would be the best way to start. That first treatment felt like a miracle. Dr lily was so professional and explained everything of what she was doing to get my whole body running effectively. I opted for a course of five 90 minute treatments. I have just finished my fourth and I cant believe the difference in me, not only is my shoulder feeling free with no pain, my other ailments that I didn't even go in for have subsided. Constipation, of which I had been suffering for literally months, and a bad hip that was caused by a road accident years ago, that left me limping the first five steps after sitting, is now non existent! Noriko was so sweet and friendly, as was the lady who checked me in at the front (I didn't get her name). The facility is clean and cozy, offering tea or water when you arrive. The facial with products includes eminence products which all smelled and felt incredible. They also specialize in Japanese Cosmo Lifting Massages and Noriko integrated some of that into my facial, which was great and something new for me. The facial was so relaxing I'm pretty sure I fell asleep. I'll definitely make this my spot whenever I'm in London!

Somewhat sad that this is not a given, but in London it certainly isn't! This makes Chi Yu stand out. I made an appointment for same day with Rie, who was great. I was escorted downstairs to the treatment area, and given 30 minutes of chair massage. Brilliant, just what I wanted. She was very communicative and definitely helped ease the tension. I probably need one every day for a month to really work it out, but this really helped. I took a menu and will definitely be back. Really like the vibe of this place, the atmosphere (also SUPER clean), and the service offerings. Let's take a little step back.. When I was a kid we had a family masseuse and she was amazing, literally her hands did wonders to how you feel and how you look. And since I lived away from home I couldn't find that same feeling and tried expensive spas, cheap places - everything, so I was about to give up. Now, if you are like me - like deep tissue massage (I was practically raised on it) then you will absolutely love Joseph. Even I had to tell him to notch down the pressure a bit. And that never happened since I moved - I was always asking for more pressure and making every masseuse sweat with their work. The only downside is it's a bit cold inside - so just ask for extra blanket if you are cold. Sport massage for 1 hr cost £40 there - and I can't get wait to get mine again tonight! Funnily enough Joseph told me, he charges £70 for the same thing in another salon in Bank station area in the City. It's not a flashy, sleek place, it's a converted upper ground floor flat just 3-4 minutes walk from Wood Green station, but if you want cheap but quality treatment with nice staff - go there and you won't regret.

I wont go into what it is and how it works, but I can say that since the treatment, which I might add was quite painful, the condition has almost gone. I subsequently visited her again but et time for extreme tension which she said had been induced or had induced the TMJ, another painful session, but again soooo much improved afterwards. Aother boring 5 Star review I'm afraid, excellent therapist and still does strength coaching and personal training.

I went in to address some tightness that I have been experiencing as a result of a nagging cycling injury now aggravated by waking in London for two day. I did not make an appointment but dropped and rang the bell. It does not look like they are set for drop-in appointments. They did see me, but it took a while to prep while I was on the table. I explained my issue and the focus to be the lower half. However the effort was put into my shoulders despite the comments about the legs. There was a combination of standing on me (this was a new experience for me - not a fan) and forearm and elbows. There was very little hands being used. Here is the worst part. She used a menthol rub. It was so heavy and overpowering. As she rubbed my legs with this embrocation it got on the sheets. When I turned over the part of the sheet with this product got in my man parts. That was comfortable to say the least. Add insult to injury, not only did she start late she finished a little early. What did I learn today? If you want your junk to burn with menthol, get some from the store for a fraction of the price and do it yourself. You will be much bette

I was thoroughly impressed with Hanna who was super-polite and professional, as well as looking as cute as a person can possibly be! She really got in there with the crazy knots I was carrying and put some serious welly into cracking them up. I'm not that experienced with Thai massage and she was careful to ask how much pressure I wanted and where I preferred to be focused on most (so crucial for a masseuse to ask!) The little touches also impressed me: a heated blanket so that the table was warm when I clambered on, and the softest eye towel to cover my face when I turned over. Mostly I felt pampered and catered to... she even spent an extra few minutes on me, past the allotted hour, making sure that I really felt looked after :D
