Had a blast with Native Son Adventures. The kids enjoyed hunting for treasures like shark teeth and fishing. We'd recommend them for a great time with excellent customer service and knowledge of the area!

Doesn't get any better than a day out with these guys! Caught some huge bull Reds for my Dad's (the big Kahuna) birthday. A super safe and educational experience for the whole family. So much fun and a great vibe, had everyone smiling! Best charter on the island!

We just wanted to have a relaxing and fun day on a boat at Hilton Head...and we got way more than that! We did a little shrimping, we did some exploring, we stopped on some deserted beaches and did some relic hunting. I found some fossils and another found a massive sharks tooth. Then on our way back, our captain, Byron, sighted some HUGE Crevalle Jacks. He quickly hooked up some of the shrimp from earlier in the day and two lines were cast out! My husband quickly hooked a fish and we were HOOKED! Forty five minutes later he landed the biggest fish of his life...easily 36 inches and 30+ pounds! Our day was perfect! A great mix of relaxed and adventure! We will definitely be back!

Within 30 min of heading out we were hooking up with the Bull Red's non stop for two hours until we were too tired to reel anymore in. This trip did not disappoint and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a charter to go with "Off the Hook Charters".

By 7:40 he netted more bait then we could use. Off into the Atlantic we went for the adventure. Once anchored, within 10 minutes, we had our first bites - but we couldn't get them reeled in. Then it got exciting. Over the next hour and a half we caught FIVE SHARKS - a HAMMERHEAD, BONNETHEAD, BLACK TIP and 2 BLACK NOSE. We were able to bring 4 of them into the boat for a picture before we threw them back. Our 21-year-old daughter got the trophy for the day as she reeled in a 5 foot long BLACK TIP SHARK that was well over the boat limited - WAY to big to handle (well over 100 lbs) so Captain Ben cut the hook out while leaning next to the boat and let him go. Thank you to Captain Ben and Off the Hook Fishing Charters for making one of the best memories ever!

I live in a tourist town in Florida so it's annoying but part of life in paradise. I guess the entrance fee covers your parking because it's all free once you pass the guard gates, all that's required is luck finding a space within a reasonable walking distance, I got lucky today being someone was pulling out just as I arrived at the preferred parking lot a stones throw from the pier. The pier is well constructed and offers some great views and a covered sitting area at the end. There are plenty of charter businesses that run parallel to the pier and a number of placards describing some of the local bird and sea inhabitants. I always spend some time on the local piers when visiting different areas they all seem to offer a few moments of serenity. There is also a walking beach close by that looks like it offers some shelling opportunities but today that option looks limited, I'm sure most visitors grab a few free souvenirs from here. It's a must do while visiting Harbour Town and this alone is worth the price of admission when considering the parking is free...

I think that due to the distance from Savannah, this pier does not get a lot of usage compared to others in the area. The pier side of the creek also contains a boat ramp about a one-half mile from the pier, with the pier situated at the end of the road. There are no public facilities or running water at the pier, with two portable restrooms the only structures located there. While fishing, there are great views of the Lazaretto Creek Bridge. Visible on the other side of the creek are several fishing and charter boats, jet skiers, kayakers and several restaurants. In between catching fish, activity from these businesses is more than enough to keep you occupied while enjoying the picturesque views. It is never too busy at the pier, with weekend traffic consisting of about ten people. Consider Lazaretto Fishing Pier if you desire a peaceful and scenic fishing experience.

I think this might have been my first fishing expedition and I would do it again. I suggest getting there early enough to get situated. What I didn't know was you could bring backpacks and flexible coolers which are stored inside the boat area. Most people brought sandwiches and snacks for the journey. They also have a concession stand inside which serves food, snacks, soft drinks and beer. The prices are reasonable. Even the $85 for the 5.5 hour excursion seemed very reasonable as well. They provide all the equipment and bait. You just need to bring your skills or possibly patience. The crew helps to show you how to fish and takes care of anything you may catch and want to bring back. They do the fileting as well as packing of the fish. For my group, we just wanted to hang out and enjoy the open seas. Most of us caught something, but nothing worth keeping. All catch and release. We start out going through the tributaries towards Calibogue Sound towards Daufuskie Island. There are some artificial reefs we were able to anchor near. The Captain knows where most of the fish are. Some folks on our excursion caught some decent size fish which they were keeping. I caught a Croaker, but tossed it back. A family with small children had some sea sickness so it's important to bring Dramamine or buy some on the ship. My take it--- if you're a first time or casual fisherman, this is for you. if you're more of a professional, get a charter.

I am someone who fishes tournaments year round and have done lots of off shore trips. Literally we went to two spots that were dead and just fished them going hours with no bites. We didn't move to more active areas. I know you might say that's fishing but trust me, I've been deep sea fishing a lot. You never spend hours on a spot that's not producing any fish. On top of that the fish we were keep, maybe 5 inches. It was sad to keep the fish we were as they were babies. There wasn't a a single fish caught the entire day over 12 inches. I will never fish on this charter again as it was a complete waste of of time as far as catching fish. You should see the fish they wanted us to keep, 5 inches was pushing it, terrible. I am so mad I chose this boat, there are so many other charters that can put you on fish. Not to mention the weather was perfect for fishing, no wind, calm seas. Literally the captains inability to put us in fish just ruined everything. Screw this!!!! I can't believe we drove all this way to do this.

They were fantastic with my young daughter, who was shy and nervous about it. They just kept drawing her out and teaching her about the fish, and when we left she cried. As for the rest of us, they were kind enough to handle baiting and casting out our lines, and letting us reel in the fish when we snagged one. I could see that the boat was equipped for much more serious fishing, but they tailored the trip to our ability. The boat had ample shaded space, so we didn't fry out there either. We caught mostly sharks, and almost snagged one cobia. That would have been very cool, because when you dock they will take it to the skull creek boathouse to prepare for your dinner. All in all we had a great day, and I think everyone who goes to hilton head should go out with Papa Bear.
