I can't be the only person who tries Different salons in Clinton, only to be helped by a young girl in sweatpants with greasy green hair. This salon has no such thing. All the hairdressers were well dressed and had well kept hair, which made me eager to give them my scalp at their will. Now, I am particular because I have thick, curly, dyed hair. I also have a bit of a scalp issue, so I was desperate to find a salon that would give me a personalize experience. My hair dresser's name was Allie (?). And she was incredible. I explained my situation to her and asked a lot of questions about what kind of shampoo/conditioner I should be using. Her 25+ years of experience in her field was filled was useful information to help my hair grow as healthy as possible. She also did not push any products on me, but rather gave me a few recommendations and even a sample! But I just initially came in for a haircut! My hairdresser massaged my scalp for honestly 10 minutes. Unbelievable. My scalp felt like new. The haircut was exactly what I wanted. She put some product in my hair for my curls, and I was in and out under 30 minutes. And I did check out some of the salon products they have. All their products Do not have even Close to the same amount of mark-up prices most Places have. Example. A bottle of pureology shampoo on Amazon runs about $35. Here the same bottle is priced at $21.50. All in all, I really did just get a simple wash and cut. But since the salon was held to such a high standard, I expected it to be a bit pricey. The whole thing turned out to be $15! I find this to be extremely EXTREMELY cheap. Considering that a wash/ cut at Great clips is $16, why not get salon quality as well? I highly recommend anyone to try this place.

I checked out the gently used clothing they had and seen they have a lot of name brands like abercrombie* the gap, coach purses.... I tried the coffee and think the girl could've did a better job at making my mocha latte, because it was too sugary, but there was a lot of flavors from peanut butter to peppermint. Other than that, I tried a pastry which was a botterscotch chex mix, very sweet and delicious. I spend my summers at a nearby town, so I def want to check out their services on nails - it will be closer than driving all the way to chicago.

However, the only thing I told…read morethe barber (it wasn't Ben) to worry about was to not cut my cowlick too close bc it will stick straight up. You're not gonna have music overhead, it's going to be a cash only transaction, and I'm here for it! I got a good haircut (even though he says it'll do until you get a good one) at a good price, and some good conversation. Don't get it twisted, you don't find places like this around anymore and if you're really nostalgic, there's a record shop/antique store across the street! Maybe I'll hop in there next time I pop in for a haircut!
