The receptionist asked me if I had ever seen a cardiologist before and I told her I had seen some when I had to be cleared for surgeries. She asked who they were and I told her I didn't really know since it was years ago and as it was a routine process where I had MRIs, blood work etc., so I didn't know who it was since the cardiologist was picked for me. She said since I could not remember, I could not be seen because there is certain cardiologist whose patients he would not treat if they had been seen by them since they might work together? I asked, "so he won't see me", "what am I supposed to do since I did not remember", and she said those were the rules and she didn't make them but that's how it was done here. She was very flip and when I got flustered and told her it took me a long time to decide I needed to see a cardiologist she started talking in a bright, cherry, and dismissive voice, said "I hope you have a great day and thanks for calling." Her whole tone throughout the conversation was as if I was bothering her and condescending. There must be something wrong with me since I don't know who cleared me for my surgeries. I hope she was just in a bad mood and doesn't really treat and talk to all new callers just wanting to get some help.
