Total scammers. AVOID! Agency Pre-charge for booking fees (including rush fees) didn't respond to messages (see other reviews). Had several issues with the one babysitter Fasha that came over for one booking and on the phone the entire time, my son fell and she wasn't going to tell us, and tried to charge us over $300 for kids she was not responsible as my au pair was also on duty. After re-doing the maths she still overcharged us. I contacted Stephanie to rectify the maths who not only said "she didn't believe any of it" but added I was "just trying to get money back and good luck with my karma" - bear in mind it was $60. Very disappointed. Had a last minute need and the RECOMMENDED places were out of stock, looking back I can see why Nantucket Babysitter had inventory. I had a nice conversation with Ronnie in the beginning ,regarding never had been to Nantucket and was needing a few items. I had informed her that I had NEVER been to Nantucket and was not sure about where her store was, but that we did have a rental car and I could pick the two items up. She said they deliver, never mentioning that where I was staying there would be a delivery fee, or how much the delivery fee would be, something I feel is a common courtesy to inform. Upon arrival, the gate was too small, a conversation that we had originally discussed and I was not sure to get it. I let her know immediately that it did not fit and that I could bring to her, as I know they had been in high demand and it was a peak travel season. She said just keep it until they pick up. I just had a charge on my card for a baby gate that did not work and a $25 delivery fee that was never enclosed upon booking these items. I called her immediately to show concern about the total charged. She informed me that it states on her website there is a charge, It does say in BIG BOLD font, COMPLIMENTARY DELIVERY. Then in smaller print to specific places, never mentioning an amount. I had expressed how that was a very "smooth move" on her end in the beginning to be so accommodating with offering to drop off, while I had said we could pick up. She should have disclosed the delivery charge. After being to Nantucket, the island is NOT that big. $25 is a rip off, unless you are in a bind and have no other way. I should have gone with my first idea, which I recommend you doing as well. Just order from Amazon Prime, pay HALF the price and donate the items on the island, OR leave at the house you are renting. After speaking with the homeowner, to let her know I had a NEGATIVE experience and that it would have been nice to leave those items at the house to offer to future guests. As a small business owner myself I like to work with other small business owners. However, I also take pride in excellent communication, accommodation and customer service. Nantucket Babysitter seems to be lacking all three of these and I cannot say with good intentions that I would recommend them. read more

Nantucket Babysitters was a complete and utter disappointment. While i had conversations with the owner about my needs for a sitter for 2 boys, 3 and 1 years old, a couple of days prior to arriving on island, and she reassured me she had someone good in mind, the babysitter was a disaster. Within an hour our sitter had insinuated that she babysat because she "liked tips," had relayed to us that she had forgotten to eat lunch and "liked pizza" hinting in a rather strange way she wanted us to order some, and asked if the phone made international calls. You can't make this stuff up! I would endorse Nannytucket instead--which was a WONDERFUL experience! read more
