But frankly, this beach, and this particular establishment, has numerous advantages. The facilities at Giardino Beach are good and clean, and it's not overly crowded. On the negative, the bar's not great, and they don't like you to picnic in their wooded area, so you're left with eating under the ombrellone, which they don't much like either. Beach wise, there is a breakwater in front of the ombrellone area which makes it great and safe for kids, who can play in the shallow pools and you have less risk of them running off and drowning. There are numerous entry points to then go for a dip, somewhat protected from the waves when they are present. It lacks that gorgeous, refreshing feeling of the open sea, but it has its advantages.
