I am not surprised that reviews about this company are not readily available. They were awful to…read moreme! I sought their services about 2 & 1/2 months out from a "small-moderate" size event (80) located across the street from their Gurnee location. Initially, Monia, the consultant, sent me the information I requested and as my inquiries increased so did her lack of response to me. After finally speaking with Monia's assistant, she was able to follow through with my request to view the glassware I was interested in. Monia emailed me and told me the glassware would be available for viewing on Saturday. I responded to ask if there was any time that was better for her. I, of course, did NOT receive a response (as I had become accustomed to) so when I arrived to see the glassware on Saturday as directed, Monia had absolutely NO idea where it was and spent the next 20 minutes searching for what had been placed in the cabinet in the show room. This is a testament to Monias investment in my affair as well as their level of communication with one another. When I asked Monia about the various emails I had sent without response she failed at true business acumen. She made up excuses.., she was sick, she was out of the office.., she was sorry. Really? In the end, I was sent a quote with extraneous costs that were never discussed. The old "switch and bait?" When I questioned them Monia told me that "things have changed". I attempted to appeal to the fact that I had the terms in writing from emails I had exchanged with them but I was told that "it has changed". When I asked to speak to "her boss" whom she referred to as the one making decisions, she again went down the "excuse path"..., he was not in either location, he did not have an email address or phone number AND..., drumroll please.., he was "going out of town!" The icing on the cake!!! To speak to her integrity, Monia told me that I had started the process "months ago" and that she had weddings that start planning a year or two out. Does this make sense to you? Is she saying that she CAN honor information provided by AAA TentMasters that is older than 2-3 months? But she CANNOT honor information provided within the last 60-90 days? I'm confused! I realize that AAA has been in business for a long time and I'm sure that they do well with their BIG events. However, for us little people just looking to have a small to moderate size celebration, I have to say that they CANNOT do it! Certainly Monia is in over her head and if the owner truly cares about what happened to me, I would've expected to hear back from him by now.

We were on the hunt for a one stop shop for decor for a small backyard party during Covid-19:…read morelights, furniture, rugs, pillows, etc. This turns out it's harder to find than I expected unless you go with the big time players like Kehoe that was a bit pricier than I wanted for this particular party. I loved the rustic look of the furniture Elegant had and their prices were better than most. While they didn't have any rugs or pillows to rent (sigh), their wine barrels were perfection to use as high boys and ended up getting a bunch of their low benches to put together as low tables (to use with floor seating). And they were also able to provide lights for my backyard. While every other vendor told me that postposting due to rain or Covid-19 wasn't an option (say whaaa?) I also liked that they were flexible. The main issue was that getting ahold of them was extremely difficult. If the Yelp reviews didn't give me faith that they'd show in time fo the bash I would have been extremely worried. It took a lot of stalking for both me and my party planner to get a contract, pay for the contract and a date to set everything up. There is an emergency # and found that we had better luck when we called the emergency #. They set everything up a few days in advance so I didn't worry too much about them being a no show. I let them know they needed to come at 7am to get it all done since I was headed out for a busy day and they showed up even a few minutes early. An hour later my yard was lit up beautifully and I was really happy with the look of the furniture for the price. They set it all up on a Thursday morning and said they would be back on Monday to pick it up (also prompt for pick up) so we got to enjoy a long weekend of beautiful lights. While the service leading up to the event wasn't the best, I'd probably still use them since it was smoothly the weekend of the event. However, I'd hope they would be more on top of their communication next time.
