Unfortunately I don't drink but everyone else here did and it looks like they have quite a selection. Cozy place with a very friendly waitress and a talented chef.

Definitely make a reservation or eat early, especially towards the end of the week or on the weekend, it's already popular. The interior is both modern and homey at the same time, and both the big and little touches are well done. Everything is spot on from the lighting (bright enough to read the menu, but also gentle enough to be relaxing), to the seating (even the wooden benches have been made comfortable with just the right amount of cushions), to the decorations (casual but classy, no oversized murals of the Acropolis). Just a really nice little place to sit down for a casual meal, but also classy enough for a date or to meet friends or colleagues for a semi-casual meal. Service has been solid for both our meals as well; there is only one waitress that we've seen, but she's both friendly and efficient even with the restaurant mostly full, so no issues at all there. Once the spring rolls around and they open the patio, we assume they'll bring on a second person to handle that, but for now the one waitress is covering the place perfectly well. Most importantly, the food is really quite good; if this isn't the best greek place in the area, it's easily in the running. The only appetizer we've tried so far (and the list is long enough to make your own tapas-style meal if you want) is the bruschetta. You might not think that you can excel at bruschetta, but you'd be wrong. No burnt toast or overly-dressed tomatoes smothered in feta here, just freshly sliced and perfectly toasted baguette topped with lightly dressed tomatoes and a sprinkle of feta. The grilled pork chop (a special) was simple, but perfectly cooked and dressed with a splash of lemon and herbs, and if anchovies are your thing then the Gavros (very lightly battered and fried) is a good choice. The Souvlaki was also simple, but the pork was flavorful and not over-cooked, and the rice is deliciously buttery. So far my personal favorite has been the Exohiko, a pork stew with potatoes that was outstanding, and not too heavy despite being a stew (of sorts). Plenty of perfectly cooked and flavorful pork chunks, and a white-wine broth that was delicious without overpowering the other flavors. Our only regret is that we only have so much stomach space, and it is going to take us a lot of visits to try everything on the menu that looks good...

We came upon this nice cafe on the corner, just outside the Market Hall, and it looked very pleasant with all of the outdoor seating, had a good-sounding menu, and some enticing specials. The sound of the 5,90 euro special of Apfelkuchen mit eis (apple cake with ice cream) and a cappuccino, and the steak on the menu pulled us in. The seats were comfortable and the service relatively fast. Our server came by almost immediately and we ordered a beer and a glass of wine. I was not sure which wine I wanted (the wines were new to me and had some German descriptions I did not know yet), but the lady helped me to choose the Halbtrockende weisswein (half dry white wine) from Wurttemburg (a local wine). I got the 0,2L glass and it was quite generous pour for only 3,80 euro. The beer was only 3 euros. Good price and the drinks were perfect for the warm summer midday weather. I ordered the small maultaschen in soup (just under 5 euros) and a side salad (just under 3 euros). BF ordered the half roast chicken with potatoes and a side salad. I got my side salad first and a basket of adorable little bread rolls. The bread rolls came out hot. They were quite dense but enjoyable. *TIP* ask for some oil and balsamic vinegar to dip the bread into. The salad was so fresh and had a variety of good vegetables: lettuces, spring greens, tomato, cucumber, onions. The typical German salad dressing was tasty, clean and fresh tasting. My maultaschen came out also very beautiful. Three large halves of maultaschen filled with flavorful ground meat with some few greens inside. The broth was also flavorful and enhanced by the generous amount of fried onions added. I quite enjoyed the it. My bf's chicken dish was also beautifully presented. It came with a little salad on the side of the plate, but he also got a bowl of side salad too. It was just the right portion. We were quite full after eating this and had to pass on the dessert. Our total for two dishes and two drinks came out to just around 26 euros. Good price, good food, good service. Recommended for the dishes we ate.
